*FEW YEARS LATER*

“Do you really have to go ?” Doris looked at the girl she had grown to love over the years as she packed her bags to leave .

“Yes mother , I have to ; you knew how hard it was for me to get this job and it’s really paying well “ she tried to convince her again after convincing her two months back to allow her apply for the job .

“But there are other nice well paying companies you can work for here in the province “

“I know mother but as much as I hate to leave but I just have to , I promise to call you everyday okay ?”

“Okay dear , it seems you have your mind made up , I wish you well my darling “ she pulled her in for a hug , she didn’t want to let go but she just had to . “Do you have a place to stay ?”

“The company I work for already has an apartment ready for me and a car “

“Wow.... your boss must be very rich “ she said with excitement in her voice .

“Yes he is , his father is the owner of Harry’s automobile and Harry’s Oil and Gas company “

“Wow .. I wish you all the best “ she gave her daughter one last hug .

Doris and Gina followed her to where she’d get a bus going to the main city . She sat close to the window of the bus and looked at her family , she was going to miss them a lot, they gave her hope when she had none and love when she thought she didn’t deserve it , for that she’d always be grateful . Her thoughts went to the woman she called mother and her family — they won’t see me coming — she gave a sinister smile . She wasn’t going back just for the job ; she wanted to take her revenge, she already changed her name in all her documents to Daniella Johnson , she is no longer Gianni Jellal ; she killed that part of her and she is ready to start a new life .

After about an hour and thirty minutes on the road , she finally arrived at the apartment , it had two rooms, a large living room , a gigantic dinning room and a medium sized kitchen . The master bedroom had a toilet and bathroom inside and a walk in closet , stocked with office wears ; the apartment was beautiful. After settling in and arranging her things she took a walk round the neighborhood; she walked for a while and decided to stop at a coffee shop to get coffee , when she bumped into a well built muscular man .

“Watch it you “ he said to her .

“Excuse me ? “ she asked , “maybe if you had paid more attention to where you were going , you wouldn’t bump into me “ you could hear the anger in her voice as she spoke .

“Do you know who I am ?”

“And who are you if I may ask ?? His excellency sir “ she said with sarcasm .

“I do not have time to argue with you, good day young lady “ he walked out of the coffee shop .

“So arrogant “ she murmured to her self . She got her coffee and walked out of the shop . At the other side of the road ; a black maybach was parked , there were two guys at the back and a driver at the front .

“Who is she ?” Harry ; the guy she had an encounter with asked his friend.

“I don’t know Boss , but I’ll try to get some information about her “

“Okay “ he kept staring at her till she disappeared from his sight .”she’s beautiful “ he said oblivious to the fact that he wasn’t alone in the car .

“Looks like you are in love Boss “ his friend Micheal mocked .

“Stop it “ he kept a straight face “I’m not in love , I’m just admiring her “ he said ; although he sounded like he was trying to convince himself . “Let’s go “ he ordered and the car drove off .

She got home and decided to take a little nap ; it was her first day at work tomorrow and she wanted to make an impression so she needed all the rest she could get . She had no friends and she didn’t want to because she felt it would be a distraction. She took out her phone and called her mother ; she remembered she promised to call as soon as she arrived .

“Hello mom , how are you “ she said as soon as she heard a voice at the other end of the call .

“I’m okay baby , how was the trip ?”

“It was stressful but I’m home now “

“How do you love your new environment?”

“It’s okay though but I’ll still miss the road side chicken we eat every evening “ she laughed and Doris laughed from the other end too .

“Oh my darling daughter , I miss you so much “

“I miss you too mom “ she replied almost tearing up , “ is Gina home from school ?”

“No , but she’ll soon be home “

“Okay , I’ll call back when she’s home okay ?”

“Okay baby , take care okay ?”

“Okay , bye” she hung up .

She laid on the bed and for some reason her mind chose to wander back to the young man she bumped into at the coffee shop , she thought about how his chest felt when she bumped into him ; — his chest was so muscular, I wonder if he gyms , I wonder what it’ll feel like if those chest were on mine .. gosh gia what are you thinking about ? You don’t even know him — she tried to control her thoughts but the harder she tried , the more she thought of him , “ I wish I could see him again though “ she thought aloud. She pushed the thoughts of him away and tried to rest ; she had a big day ahead of her tomorrow.

“The reports you asked for are ready sir “ the butler brought in some files to the study .

“Keep them on the desk and leave “ he replied without turning his head to look at him . The butler bowed his head and left. He picked up the file and went through it ; he smiled .

“Daniella Johnson , we’ll meet at work tomorrow “ he smiled . He dropped the files and retired to his bedroom to rest with a mischievous smile on his face .
