Marian left on Sunday evening. True to her word, she stayed with her all weekend. She knew her friend was just looking out for her but she missed having the apartment to herself. She missed the silence and the freedom to just think for as long as she wanted, to pace the length of the place to her heart’s content until she is too exhausted to do anything else other than lie down in bed. She didn’t complain though because Marian brought a fresh perspective, another point of view on looking at things. She let her walk around the room in frustration, voicing her fears, and offered her advice.
