I look terrible, she thought as she caught sight of herself in the bathroom mirror. Only yesterday, she was admiring how the red dress looked on her. She got out of it and held it in her hands as another wave of sadness engulf her. Taking a deep steadying breath, she threw it in the laundry basket just outside the bathroom door. After tying her hair in a bun, she grabbed her toothbrush and brushed her teeth. Avoiding another glance of herself in the mirror. Then she washed her face, taking her time.
