“We’re here, dear,” Eileen whispered, touching her arm to wake her.
KC woke up with a jolt. It felt like they left the hospital minutes ago, by the heaviness of her eyelids, it probably was. Wordlessly, they walked inside and was greeted by a receptionist. Eileen spoke to her for a few minutes then they were shown to their rooms. Eileen and KC will share a room while Mark and Martin will stay in another. She didn’t mind the company, too afraid to be alone.
“I will get you something to wear after breakfast, you need to eat dear,” Eileen told her glancing at her watch. “It’s almost 11 in the morning and you only had a chocolate bar.”
KC nodded in agreement then remembered she needs to get in contact with Marian and her parents. “Can I borrow your phone?”
