PROLOGUE
The sky was dark, thunder cracked aloud up high as heavy rain hits the ground. Cassiel looked left and right timidly and quickly hid behind the tin can in an alley. White clothes full of dirt and mud, the angel hugged himself as he shivered from the cold. He was frightened. He hated heavy storms. The loud thunder barked aloud, cracking the fine line between heaven and earth as if creating a rift where one can pass through the two different worlds. The street was quiet and not even one fly could be seen. It was like the darkness had consumed everything. Wrapping his arms around tightly against himself, Cassiel hiccuped while trying to console himself. "Everything will be alright. Everything will be okay." He said to himself trying to calm his soul down. That was until he froze as he could feel a wave of danger coming towards him at a very fast speed. He didn't know what it was but he knew he was in danger. Standing up to his feets, he tried to run away from whatever it was but his steps was put on hold when he saw a huge white light above the sky. His eyes widened and his breath was cut short as the bright fire aimed at him full speed. The next thing he knew, he was sprawled across the rough surface of the street, scrapping off his pale and soft skin. The wind was too strong and light too bright to see what was going on. When Cassiel opened his eyes, body hurt from the effect, he didn't try to move or sit up. He was too drained to do so. He was internally shocked when he saw that the rain had stopped abruptly. What shocked him even more was that, far off in about 4 metres away from him, he could see something, a figure lying down dead. Cassiel couldn't feel his soul but he knew that the dark danger he felt earlier was the stranger now lying dead infront of his eyes. He didn't actually know if he was dead or alive, but had a feeling he should run away from there as far as possible. Whatever creature that was infront of him was dangerous, he knew it. But that thought was cut off when there was a deep punch inside his throat. He coughed out before slowly standing up on his feet. He wanted to make a run, away from this place but when he looked over at the poor soul lying there, something was not letting him move his feet. It could have been his angel nature, that when he heard the internal cries of the soul lying dead there, he just couldn't turn away. Or maybe, that wasn't just it. There was something else that was telling him to go look to whoever it was in the darkness. Dragging his hurt leg, the angel pushed himself till he reach the figure who Cassiel now noticed was a man all dressed in black. Contrasting to Cassiel's light blonde golden curls, the man below had midnight black hair with silver streaks. Just from his outer appearance, he could tell that the man came from the dark side of the world. He knelt down beside him slowly, in fear that this stranger could suddenly pounce on him the next second. He brought his hand closer to the man and touched his neck to check any sign of consciousness. The stranger flinched and that's when he knew he wasn't dead. Ignoring the negative consciousness inside him, he decided he should heal his wounds. He was an angel, that was a part of his duty. There were scratches on his face and other parts of his skin. It looked pretty bad and wouldn't be healing by itself anytime soon. Despite knowing he was putting himself in danger, despite the cold sweat running down at the nape of his neck, Cassiel brought both his palms in front of the man's chest. He breathed in and out deeply before bringing in all his attention into healing the stranger. Just when the glow from his palms lit up, the man's eyes quickly opened wide shocking the heaven out of Cassiel. "AAAAHHHH!!!" The angel shrieked loudly and scrambled back quickly away from the man. He gulped, sweat sliding on the back of his skin when the stranger looked his away, looking almost blank...as if he didn't have even an ounce of emotion. But the look and burning scarlet in his eyes made the angel realise he f****d up. Cassiel knew he shouldn't have helped him. A d-demon?
