My Safe Haven

Chapter 2

Nancy and Sabrina arrived at Tractor Supply. When upon entering Tractor Supply Nancy had spotted her cousin Jane. Cousin Jane was retired and always stated how bored she was and said how shopping helped her past the time so she was always at Tractor Supply.

“ Go ahead and have a look around”,

Nancy hinting to Sabrina that she was gonna be talking for awhile.

“Ok!” Sabrina wrink in return. Sabrina had to decide to get a cart and get the duck crumbles.

“How have you been”, greeted cousin Jane.

“ I’m been good, how have you been?” Grandma Nancy question knowing cousin Jane always had a story to tell.

“ I been okay I have the craziest story you never know who I just saw earlier today,” cousin Jane sarcastically said. Cousin Jane loved drama one thing she lived for.

“WHO!” Nancy replied pondering.

“James!” Answered Cousin Jane.

“He was at the w***e house or the casino.” Grandma Nancy knew this was going to be either a lie or a scary truth.

”Isn’t Jackie new boy toy James!”, Jackie asked curiously. Nancy didn’t want to answer this question.

Jane kept going “anyway that little heathen owes one of the two places five-thousand dollars. Rumors has it he either stole from them or he got them robbed.”

Nancy just kept listing she hasn’t heard from her daughter since she dropped Sabrina off to her.

“I’m just telling you cause you guys are family and John and I, will always tell you what we hear.” We know you guys been threw a lot with Jackie and her boy toys.”

Nancy knew that if Jane heard anything she was definitely going to run it back to her.

Jane and Nancy went back and forth about their lives for awhile. Meanwhile Sabrina was wondering the isles looking for the duck crumbles when she bump into a group of kids from the recent school she was at.

“Is that the weird girl”. One of the boys from the group spoked.

“No that the girl with the skanky mom, her mom is the reason why my parents are getting a divorce.” Sneered the red head named Sarah.

“Oh yeah didn’t your parents sleep with her mom.” Laughed the boys in the group.

Sabrina tried her best to ignore them she hated even thinking about her mom. Sabrina tried walking threw the isles to get away and make no eye contact with them. She started to try to get close to her grandmother’s eyesight atleast. When she was in her eye-sight her grandmother notice she was going in circles. While listening to Jane talk and watching her granddaughter she knew something wasn’t right.

“If you can excuse me Jane I don’t think Sabrina got the right duck crumbles, let me go inform her.” As Nancy excuse herself she walked up to Sabrina.

“Is everything al’right?” Nancy questioned Sabrina

Sabrina holding back tears said nothing. Nancy notice the kids behind Sabrina.

“Is everything okay between you guys?” Nancy questioned again but this time to the group of kids.

Sarah had spoken up “yes everything fine we were just informing Sabrina that her mother is a skank her mother is.”

“How do you know that her mother’s a skank.” Nancy sternly said to Sarah

As one of the boys laughed “she slept with her parents.”

“Oh your the little girl of the parents who wanted to have a threesome with my daughter and your mother got to excite over my daughter which made your father jealous. How about you tell your daddy next time he shouldn’t do something that might get his feelings hurt and you would still have your mommy and daddy.” Nancy said straightforwardly. Sarah dropped her mouth taking back about what the older lady had said. The group of boys laugh as Sabrina and her grandmother walked off. Sabrina was just very embarrass by everything even by her grandmother. When the return to the car she questioned her grandmother “Why did you have to say that?”

“Because even though your mother was wrong her parents were equally as wrong!” Nancy explained “if they don’t want there daughter to hear that then there daughter shouldn’t have know your mother was involved too.”

Sabrina still shocked as what was said but understood what her grandmother was saying.
