[Present] Mom pulled up behind Charlie who drove the Uhaul. We pulled up to the sky-blue house with trees that looked like they were ready to collapse. The yard had been unkept for quite awhile but it was decent. No way I’m going to let her know I like the look of this house. She’ll try to keep me here and won’t let me return home. Sabrina thought to herself. “Hey Bri!” Laughed Charlie. Charlie always helped her and her mom move. He was the last piece she had to her father. Charlie was Sabrina’s father best friend he past when she was only 3. No one ever talked about him all she knew was he died in prison. “Hey Uncle Charlie” Sabrina sighed. “How you been Bri?” Charlie asked concern. Sabrina held back tears she was still grieving about loosing her grand mother even tho it was going on a year. Charlie knew Sabrina had it a little more harder then most kids and she wasn’t very opened. “Bri I know things aren’t easy and you gotta open up to someone kid and like I said before I’m here for you. I’ll run straight to you if anything you need or even if you need to talk.” Charlie said repeatedly. All Sabrina could do was shake her head and tear. She didn’t burst into tears scared for anyone to call her weak so she walked off so he wouldn’t notice. Charlie watched as she walked into the house. “JACKIE!” yelled Charlie angrily. “ What the f**k do you want. Why are you yelling like your my husband or some shit.” Jackie stomped towards Charlie saying. “Why haven’t you gotten Bri help. I told you she need it and I even gave you the money to do so. What’s the problem, she need to talk to someone.” Charlie screamed on Jackie. “ First of all her name is Sabrina not Bri and why does it matter she ain’t your kid. Why do you care so much I know what she needs I’m her mother. Just help us unpack and leave.” Jackie shouted at Charlie. The bickering went back and forth as Sabrina sat in the bathroom crying as she was listening with the window open. How would she know what I actually needed ponder Sabrina.
