This can’t be right.
The transport spell drops me off in front of some deserted castle. I pound on the door for a while, but no one answers. Eventually, I take to inspecting the nearby grounds. Everything’s quiet and dark. Trees sway in the breeze. Cold bites into my skin. Then, it happens.
Dex jumps me.
But why would he be here? It’s all very confusing.
Even more strange, Dex’s eyes are now all-white and unseeing. It’s true that Rapunzel princes can go blind. Only, I’ve never heard of anyone actually losing their sight before.
The world turns dreamlike. Dex stands by my new safe house from Elle. How is that possible? Moonlight shines behind him, casting his body in a kind of halo. Dex doesn’t seem to mind the deep chill in the air, let alone the fact that he can’t see. I
