I stand before the Wulfhelm hearth. Flames crackle before me. Warmth settles into my bones. After a long day of marching through sewers, it’s good to be home.
A rapid drumroll of footsteps sounds in the outer hallway, followed by a familiar scent of pine and moss. And that means one thing.

I sent my beta to Earth with a message for the Lady. It’s no great love letter. In fact, the tone is purposefully chilly. I don’t want the Lady getting any wrong ideas.
