On Earth, humans communicate with technology. In Faerie, we use letters. Especially if the ‘we’ in question is an elf. All of which is why Talyn just stepped into my study to deliver a message. My study’s like every other room in Thornfield, only a maze of bookshelves are added to the wooden floors, Persian rugs, and hanging tapestries.
I lift the envelope from his clawed hands. “A pup should be doing this.”
My beta is too important to waste time on delivering messages, especially this early in the morning. Normally, Talyn is busy getting the orphans ready for school.
Talyn grins, a movement that shows off his mouthful of fangs. “I happened to be at the gate when the envelope arrived. And once I saw who sent the message...” He leaves the thought out there.
