Chapter 33Jack Raines saw the strobe lights through the front window. He took long strides out of the kitchen and stopped at the bottom of the stairs. Holding onto the rail, he looked up toward the hallway. “Jeremy! Jer!” Red and blue filled the room. Had to be more than one car out front. This couldn't be a good sign. He touched the screen on his phone. Scrolled through the contacts. He had the lawyer's name and number. The attorney had no idea who he was, though.
