The sixteen-inch chrome barreled naval guns of the USS Tombstone aligned with the firing angle of their target and after the command was given, went off with a deafening roar in the night. If one were to look at the fine vessel from the shore, they would've seen the ship briefly illuminated a few miles out at sea from the cannon fire. Like a monster of metal, floating in the dark waiting for it's next meal. The roar of the guns was massive and it sounded like a giant lion roaring out in defiance at another rival or perhaps like a dozen bombs all exploding at the same time.
