Private Marlon Lafayette awoke laying flat on his back in complete darkness, the ground was cold and hard not unlike stone. He raised himself up and groaned in pain. His body felt like he had been punched a thousand times and then tossed around like a rag doll. His body also felt stiff as if he'd been asleep for a long time and just now woke up, it made moving quite the difficult proposal.  In the ink-black darkness Marlon tried to find his way around, his hands were telling him that the floor was indeed made of stone, rough and uncut, so maybe he was in a natural cave? Somewhere in his vicinity he could hear the telltale drip of water hitting the floor, it was distant sounding, but that doesn't really mean much in a cave.
