Chapter 2

Lauren's POV Lunch ended after what seemed like endless chatter with these annoying girls, although Demi seemed to be nice enough. "What class do you have now?" Demi asked me. "Advanced English," I replied. "Great, me too," Miley said with the most fake smile ever. "So do I, you're a junior, right?" Demi asked. "Yes I am," I said. "Awesome, the three of us are probably in the same class," Demi said. "No one's a senior with me," Ashley pouted. "Hey, I would love to skip history," Vanessa said. "And I'd skip chemistry to be a senior," added Selena. "Hey, I have chemistry, too!" Camz, what i always called my sister, exclaimed. "Awesome, want to be lab partners?" Selena asked her. "Sure, but I have to warn you, I hate chemistry," Camz smiled her kind smile. Selena gave me an odd feeling. Camila's POV "Come on Camila, why don't we go to class?" Selena asked me. "Okay sure," I said. "I need to get my books for English, so I'll come with you," said Demi. With that, the three of us left the table. "Sorry if Miley comes off as a little mean," Demi apologized once we left the cafeteria. "It's okay, I understand," I told her. We reached the lockers in the hallway then. Demi started to open her locker, when she looked up and froze. "It's him," she sighed. A group of five guys began to walk up to us. "That's Harry, Louis, Liam, Zayn, and Niall," Selena whispered to me, pointing out who's who. "Demi loves Niall," Selena winked. "No I don't," Demi said while blushing. "Okay fine, you have a massive crush on him," Selena teased. Demi rolled her eyes. "Do you like anyone?" Demi asked me. "No, not really, although Harry looks pretty cute," I said, pushing the "appointment" Lauren and I had that day after school out of my head, which having a crush on someone certainly wouldn't help with it. "What about you, Selena?" I asked. "s**t," I heard her mumble. "Sorry?" I asked. "Oh nothing, I just realized that I have to go do this thing and yeah I'll see you in chemistry!" She said as she walked away quickly. "Odd," I commented. "Yeah, I guess it was," Demi said. "Can you show me where the chemistry lab is?" I asked sheepishly after a moment. "Of course," she said with a genuine smile, then helped me to the chemistry lab. "Thanks," I told her as we got there. "No problem," she replied, then left. I sat towards the back of the class alone. Then I remembered that Selena wanted to be my lab partner, so I put my bag on the seat next to me to save it for her when she came. People gave me dirty looks and whispered things to each other whenever they saw me. I had been through way worse, so I just started to write poetry in my agenda to distract myself. "Those words are so beautiful," I heard someone say over my shoulder. Jumping up, I turned to see that Selena had returned. "Oh, that's just nothing, I'm a terrible writer," I said quickly. "Camila, that was absolutely amazing, and I just read something you wrote right now. You could be a writer someday," Selena told me with a smile. "No I can't. Writing won't get me money," I mumbled. I wasn't ready for anyone to know about my personal life just yet.
