Chapter 1
Camila's POV
Today is the day. Today I'm going to go to school for the first time ever. I'm fifteen, and lets just say I've had a pretty hard life with my older sister Lauren, who's sixteen.
This school was so big, filled with so many people. I was sort of scared because everyone was staring at me. However, with my sister, I felt safe.
Although, my sister was in a grade older than me. I was only a sophomore, and she a junior, or so everyone called it.
I spent my first few periods alone. I sat in the back of the class. Everyone else just seemed to know each other so well, I didn't want to intrude.
Once lunch finally came around, I practically ran to Lauren's class. I hugged her as soon as I saw her, then headed with her to lunch.
We sat alone at first. Neither of us really wanted to talk about our day at school, so we sat in silence.
Suddenly, a group of girls came up to us. I recognized some of them from my class, and these girls were the popular girls of the school.
"Hey," said one girl whom I didn't recognize, however she seemed genuinely nice.
"Demi, why are you talking these freaks? Didn't you hear the rumors?" whispered another one of the girls into the nice girl's ear, who apparently was named Demi.
So everyone already knew about us.
"Miley, be nice," said another girl who was in my math class. If I could remember right, her name was Vanessa.
"Fine, whatever," Miley rolled her eyes. "Would you two like to sit with us?" Demi asked Lauren and I. "Sure," I said shyly.
All of the girls sat down. A girl who was in my home room class sat next to me, and Miley sat next to Lauren.
"You guys should introduce yourselves," Lauren said.
"Okay," Miley said, a little annoyed, "I'm Miley Cyrus." "I'm Ashley Tisdale," said the girl beside her. "My name is Vanessa Hudgens," said Vanessa, who was now sitting across from me. "Lovato, Demetria," Demi said with a friendly smile. "And finally, my name is Selena Gomez," the girl next to me said while twirling her hair.
"Now, what are your names?" Vanessa asked. "I'm Camila Jauregui Cabello," I said. "And I'm Lauren," Lauren said.
Perhaps this experience at school wouldn't be as bad as I thought.
Lauren's POV
I hated these girls. I hated this school. I hated it all. But I had to protect my little sister, even if she was only younger by a year. She had no one. Especially after what had happened with our parents, even though it was so long ago.
I couldn't leave her alone in this cruel harsh world.
