Camila's POV
I awoke the next morning to the sun piercing my eyes through the window. I sat up slowly, exhausted from my night. I then remembered that my parents were coming over that day, so I bolted out of bed.
Since Lauren and I shared a bed sometimes, like we had the previous night, she woke up from my sudden rush of energy. "It's first thing in the morning Camz, why are you bolting out of bed?" Lauren moaned. "Because I feel like it," I told her as I stuck my tongue out at her.
"Fine, but I'm going back to bed," Lauren groaned as she shoved her head underneath her pillow. "Oh no you're not," I declared.
Carefully, I backed up until I reached the wall. Then, even though I hate running with a passion, I sprinted towards the bed and jumped right onto my sister.
"Ow! Camila!" Lauren shrieked. "Get up," I said with a smirk, then kissed her cheek. "Get off me," she ordered. "Nope, it's my turn to be in charge," I smiled. Lauren gave me a playful glare.
Before I could do anything else, the phone began to ring from across the hall. I got off my sister and hurried to answer the phone.
"Hello?" I asked. "Hi, is this Camila?" a familiar voice asked. "Yes, hi mama," I replied. "Hey baby girl," she replied. I could tell that she was smiling on the other end.
"Mama, is there something you called about?" I asked after a moment of silence. "Oh yes, I just wanted to let you know that we were going to drop by this morning. We have a lot of things to take care of today so we won't be by for long, but tomorrow we were hoping to spend the day with you," she replied. "Okay, I'll see you soon, bye," I said, then hung up the phone.
"Who was on the phone?" Lauren asked as she came up to me. "No one," I rushed. "So you were just talking to yourself on the phone?" Lauren asked sarcastically. "Yup!" I replied.
Lauren sighed. "Come on, lets have some sort of breakfast, alright?" she suggested after a moment. I nodded in agreement.
Selena's POV
For some reason, I woke up early on Saturday morning. I decided to text Ashley, who was always up early. She answered me right away, then we began to talk for the next hour or so.
After a while, Ashley had to go. At that moment, Demi texted me, asking if she wanted to hang out. Of course I said yes, and we decided to go and watch a movie together that afternoon.
Once we made our plans, I decided to head downstairs and have some breakfast. I had some toast, then headed back to my bedroom and flopped onto my bed.
I looked down at my hand; Camila's phone number was still there. I wanted to call her so badly, but I felt that it would be too soon. Also, she might have been busy with something, so I decided to call her after the weekend finished.
To distract myself from further thinking about Camila, I decided to actually do some homework, since sadly it wasn't going to do itself.
Lauren's POV
We had some bread in our cabinet, so Camz and I had a slice each for breakfast with some sort of margarine on top. After this, my sister rushed to her room, so I followed her.
Camz immediately started going through her closet. "What are you doing?" I asked casually. "Finding something nice to wear. I don't know what to wear!" she replied.
Her comment caused me to get suspicious. "Why are you trying to find something nice to wear?" I asked. "I told you about the surprise, right? Well, it has to do with the surprise," she replied, "now go put on something nice and not something we'd wear to work," she ordered.
Rolling my eyes, I asked, "Since when do you give me orders?" "Since last night," Camz smiled at me. "Fine, fine," I replied with a half smile. I then just stood there looking at the only sister really I knew.
"Go!" Camz exclaimed after a moment. With that, I hurried to my room and changed into something that seemed appropriate.
Knocking came from the front door as I finished up. I'll get it," I called to Camz as I exited my room and slowly made my way to the door.
Unexpectedly, Camz burst out of her bedroom and dashed for the door. "What's the rush?" I asked as she darted past me. She didn't answer me, so I figured it must have been apart of her little surprise.
Slowly, my sister opened the door. She opened to reveal a familiar face, which I soon realized was my mother's face. What was my mother doing at my door?
Anger seemed to set in me immediately, however Camz went straight to hug her. Meanwhile, I stayed aback.
"Mama, I missed you so much!" she exclaimed in our mother's arms. "I missed you, too, baby," she replied. She seemed to mean what she said, yet I was too furious to even go near her.
"Hello," I said with no emotion. Our mother let go of Camz and took a good look at me. "Lauren, who've grown up so much," she commented. "Yeah, that happens when you're gone for ten years," I replied, colder than frostbite.
Giving a sigh, she said, "Lauren, you know, both your father and I really are sorry for what we did." I rolled my eyes at this and began to walk away from the door.
"Where is our dad?" Camz asked from behind me. There was a pause, so I turned back around to see him appear at the doorway with a little kid in his arms.
"Lauren, Camila, I would like for you to meet your little sister Sofia," our mother said.
My jaw dropped.
