MY OTHER HALF

~Jenny~ Arrrrrgh the sound I make anytime the alarms goes off on Monday mornings.  Monday sucks, it makes your weekends short and above all it begins the school week. I knocked the alarm off and decided to sleep another ten minutes. This ten minutes extended to thirty minutes. I woke up with a jerk when I realized that I had slept twenty more minutes.  I had to rush through or else I would be late. Being late on Mondays isn't my thing though I hate Mondays. I finished within minutes and rushed downstairs to have breakfast. My mum was in the kitchen as usual. ''hey mum good morning'' ''yeah hun how was your night'' ''short as usual'' pouring cereals into a bowl I hardly took a second spoon of the cereals when l heard Clara's car horn. I quickly wrapped some cookies and rushed out ''bye mum'' ''have a nice day dear'' ''thanks and same'' she barely heard it. ''WTF Clara if l die of hunger before lunch, I'm gonna kick your ass'' '' wow I wonder how you will kick my ass when you are dead. anyways that wasn't a greeting'' '' I don't give a damn about that'' '' I was expecting it though'' I just realized I forgot to introduce my bestie Clara. Clara is one crazy fellows hope you have realized by now. We have been friends since grade 5. Let's close her chapter now you will get to know her better as time moves on.  Now back to me, we are almost at school and I'm already regretting not pretending to be sick. After looking at Clara's face I realize school doesn't suck after all. We pulled into the parking lot. We still had fifteen minutes before class. All thanks to my good driver.  We got to our lockers and as usual Mackenzie was by her lockers. I hate that her locker was next to mine. I had to see her devilish face all the time. ''hey Jenny hope you had a great weekend'' Mackenzie's annoying voice came up. Before I could answer Clara shot up ''it was so great because she didn't have to see your face the whole time'' Wow Clara was so fast I was still searching for a come back but apparently Clara had cleared everything for me.  What are best friends for. Clara's statement left Mackenzie speechless. She gave us a it has just began look and left. I gave Clara a high five and we laughed our hearts out. The day had started pretty well. I hope it continues to the end. Literature is our first class on Mondays. Clara and I as usual took our seats beside the wall. Mrs. Fetcher wasn't in yet so I played candy crush whilst Clara admired Harry. Harry is Clara's crush. She's been crushing since we entered high school. Harry isn't bad in looks and he is an asset for the school basket ball team so he is quite popular.   ''Good morning class'' Mrs. Fetcher's voice came up I quickly ended the game and kept the phone away. ''ok so you went to a lot of parties during the weekend and you are stressed out which is making you wish you never left your bedrooms but that doesn't guarantee you sleeping in my class. if you want to sleep just put up your hands and I won't hesitate to give you permission for a punishment thank you'' Woo that was Mrs Fetcher for you. She is an interesting person and makes me enjoy literature class. ''Please don't forget to leave your assignments on my desk after the class is.....''before she could end Mr. Landon interrupted behind him was a new student. I went back to playing candy crush as he introduced the new student. ''I'm Jeffery but I prefer you calling me Jeff. Nice meeting you guys.'' ''We are also very happy having you around'' Mackenzie shot up And that caught my attention. ''This girl is a real b***h'' Clara whispered ''What do you expect'' I said chuckling. At that moment I decided to take a good look at the new student because Mackenzie will only do that if the guy was hot. Damn my eyes were locked I couldn't stop staring the guy was f*****g hot. I kept staring and he looked up and our eyes met I quickly returned to playing my game. I felt like knocking myself for staring like a moron. But that wasn't my fault though, I had no option but to stare. He was too attractive. He was showed his seat and the class went on. ''hey Nick says he will meet us in the hallway for our next class. ''Clara informed me as we left literature. Our next class was calculus. One out of the many subjects I hated. I wasn't good with numbers and I neither do I want to be good with it. ''hey guys'' Nick shouted to us from the other end of the hallway. ''I really miss you guys'' he said hugging both of us and panting so hard from running. ''I can't say same for you though'' Clara said shoving him away. ''I don't care if you don't miss me Clara, I only care if Jenny does. Jenny you miss me right?'' ''Maybe'' ''f**k you two'' ''ouch'' Clara and I both said and laughed Ok so meet Nick my second bestie we make a trio. We've been friends since middle school. He is very cool and interesting. Clara is always picking fights with him. Sometimes I think this two like each other and maybe using the fights to cover up. I don't want to believe that because they are both crushing on others. Clara is crushing on Harry and Nick on Mackenzie.  Did you just hear Mackenzie. Yeah you sure did. Anyways it's good he has got that much of hope. We got there and made it to our favorite spot but we realized one of the seats was occupied so we had to sit behind. Taking our seats I realized it was the new guy who had occupied our spot. Clara and I were discussing some pictures on i********: when Harry and Emil entered. Our discussion came to an instant end as she started staring and smiling.  I went back to liking pictures. Not long Mackenzie entered and rushed to sit next to the new guy. I couldn't care less, Mackenzie was very predictable. The only thing was that she was right in front of me. I ignored her and continued. ''Jeff right? I'm Mackenzie'' ''oh yeah'' ''that's cool hope we can be friends'' ''sure no problem Woaaa trust Mackenzie to be the baddest b***h. She is interested in almost every hot guy. Mr. Landon came in and the class started. As boring as math was I had to sit through it just waiting for the best thing in my f****d up life lunch breeeeaak! my inner thoughts shouted.  chill will you it's just 30minutes. my subconscious mind was just a kill joy but I refuse to be subjected to its unjoyous statement. Wait is that even a thing. ''Woaaaah thought I was going to die from staring at the clock too much'' Nick exclaimed when the siren went for lunch break ''oh Nick maybe it isn't time for us yet'' I said raising my hand for a high five ''Who the f**k made maths a subject. that person needs some ass whooping'' Clara shot up she slept through out the whole class and was still complaining.  We sit at the same spot every time during lunch. It was a usual habit for us to argue episodes of game of thrones *GOT* over lunch. We were in the process when a notification popped up on my phone's screen. jeffmiles just followed you..... Yipeee the new guy just followed me. Was I actually jubilating. I decided to follow back and changed my mind. I need to play hard to get. hard to get really? girl don't get your hopes up. my subconscious shot up. it was right though but I still didn't follow back anyways. I looked up when Clara exclaimed ''Holy mother of John Snow did Harry just look in my direction'' I followed her gaze and saw Harry and Emil talking and looking in our direction. They were sure talking about us. I couldn't care less ''Holy baddoodles they are walking in this direction'' Clara went again ''oh puh-lease Clara you could at least give Holy a rest'' Nick sniped I gave out a light laugh and shoved cookies into my mouth. Clara ignored Nick, she was seriously checking to see if everything was in place. Her crush was just some seconds away what do you expect. Let me introduce Emil before they make it here. The baddest boy in school no doubt about that. He was the school basket ball team captain. You know what that alone means right. He was a bigtime playboy and almost every girl was crushing on him. ''hey Summertop'' Emil plunged next to me What's up with everybody making a play on my surname all the time. It's Winterbottom dummies. Wait a minute he knows my name?. I guess he just asked Harry. Harry and l were once in a group assignment together. ''wow your first impression sucks'' I said. ''whoosh where did I go wrong'' ''Summertop really?'' ''I guess that's where I went wrong. never mind will you be my date'' this guy sure knows how to drive me nuts. I gave him one hell of a stare ''no'' ''ouch why'' ''for the record I don't do dates with guys I just meet after some seconds'' ''but I do babe'' '' don't call me babe'' ''ok baby girl'' he grinned ''wow really'' I didn't know what to say ''oh Summs you are so cute'' ''where the hell did I sleep yesternight'' ''no baby let's talk about where the hell you will sleep today. In my arms dear'' I could hear the smile in his voice. worst lunch break ever math was much better. ''oh my God you wish'' I said rolling I turned to Clara but she was busy making passes at Harry ''Hi I'm Clara, a very huge fan of yours'' ''wow thanks'' he smiled genuinely Was I dreaming or did I just see Clara turn all red like a tomato. I could hear her inner thoughts shouting holy mother of dragons Harry is smiling at me. I turned to my only hope Nick but he was MIA. I didn't even notice he was gone. I made a mental note to get new besties because apparently these two suck ''hey baby girl what do you think'' I realized I wasn't even listening to him. Before I could open my mouth the bell went for the next lesson ''bye Summs talk to you later'' he stood up and dragged Harry along. ''Remind me to get the school siren a gift'' I exhaled turning to Clara but she had left with Harry and Emil' ''This b***h never disappoints''
