Chapter Twelve

                                                                                   •SOUTHSIDE•

Today Ariana will be meeting my moms but she doesn't know Latisha will be there too. I chose not to tell her because I know she wouldn't come and she wouldn't bring the kids.

"What time are these girls coming baby".My mom asked walking into the living room.

"I told them 3 o'clock it's 2:45 give them a few minutes". I said just as the doorbell rung.

Getting off the couch I go and open the door to see Ariana standing there holding the twin's hands.

"Hey".She said with a small smile as I stepped to the side letting them in.

"Wassup you look beautiful". I said licking my lips looking her up and down causing her to blush.

"Thank you, where's your mom". She asked looking around.

"Follow me". I said walking ahead of her into the living room where my mom sat watching family feud. 

"Oh my gosh she is beautiful and look at my grandbabies".My mom said before I could say anything.

"Thank you and thanks for inviting me into your home". Ariana said hugging her back just as tight as she was hugging her.

"No problem sweetheart you're welcome anytime". My mom said with a huge smile on her face.

"I might have to take you up on that offer". Ariana said with a smile.

"And what are these cuties names". Mama asked pinching their cheeks softly causing them to laugh.

"This is Meadow Elise and Rhyland Izaak". Ariana said pushing them towards my mom before taking a seat.

"Those are some beautiful names". Mama said sitting them on her lap and they laid their head on her chest as she talked to Ariana.

Hearing my phone ring I pull it out of my pocket and see that Latisha was calling me.

"I'm about to step out for a minute". I said even though they were t listening to me.

"Hello". I said closing the sliding door behind me.

"Babe I'm going to be a little late". Latisha said causing me to sigh.

"How late man". I ask rubbing my hand down my face.

"An hour". She said as I looked back into the house to see my moms and Ariana still talking.

"Bye". Hanging up I slide my phone into my pocket and slide the door open walking back inside. 

"And this is him when he was two years old look at that little butt". I heard my mom say as I walked closer to the living room.

"He was so adorable". Ariana said laughing loudly as I mugged her. 

"Ma what is you doing". I said taking a seat beside Ariana throwing my arm around her neck.

"I am grown don't question me and if you have eyes you can see". She said causing me to jerk my head bad mugging her. 

"That's right I said it". She said as Ariana sat there trying to hold in her laugh.

"Damn you cold-blooded I see where we stand now". I said shaking my head laughing a little bit.

After that, they continued to talk about stories dealing with me and the twins.

Standing in the kitchen I help his mom make the food while the twins slept upstairs in southsides old room.

"Did he tell you that he invited that little girlfriend of his".She said causing me to look over at her with my face scrunched up.

"Why would he invite her at the same time he knew he told me to come". I ask myself chopping the vegetables harder.

"Just from that I can see you don't like her".She said looking over at me with a small laugh.

"No ma'am". I said shaking my head agreeing with her.

"She's an hour late that's already letting me know she doesn't take the relationship with my son serious enough to have respect and meet his mother in time". She said and just like calling the devil he appeared.

"Hello Mrs.Luellen". Latisha said coming in behind Southside with a fake smile.

"Hello I'm sorry I don't know your name". His mother said giving her a fake smile back.

"It's Latisha". Latisha said and the smile on her face dropped.

"I'm sorry my son was so caught up on Ariana he forgot to mention your name".His mom said being petty as can be and that's my type of woman.

"Look don't disrespect me".Latisha said mugging Mrs.Luellen causing me to scrunch up my face.

"Look we don't get along or whatever but have some respect this lady let us come into her house and I could tell you walked in with an attitude already". I said pointing my knife in her direction.

"Girl I can do whatever the f**k I want to do she was being disrespectful". Latisha said rolling her eyes. 

"Say you heard what the f**k she said don't disrespect my f*****g mother and if you do the s**t again we done". Southside said shocking the hell out of me.

"The food is almost done baby". His mom said to him.

"Yes ma'am and you bring yo ass here". He said pointing at Latisha following behind him like a lost puppy.

"Girl that Chile there almost took me back". She said shaking her head with a small laugh causing me to laugh.

"Where she almost take you Mrs.Luellen". I ask  looking over at her.

"To my ass-whooping days". She said taking the bread out of the oven.

|20 minutes later|

We were all sitting at the table and I had the twins sitting by me but they were acting a fool because they wanted to sit with their dad but I wasn't having it.

"So Latisha where do you plan to go to college". Mrs.Luellen asked placing some food into her mouth.

"I don't plan on going to college". She said causing me to shake my head.

"That's understandable but what are you going to do since you won't be going to college". She asked as I fed the twins.

"I'm going to be a stripper". She said causing me to almost spit out my drink.

It's about to be a long night...
