When Feather realised the implications of Lucifer’s statement, he slowly turned his head to look toward Azure, who, despite everything in him telling him to run, to get away from what would be the beating of a lifetime, stood his ground. He knew if Feather found out, he would deserve every single hit that would inevitably befall him. He had always known Death was dead, and instead of comforting one of his supposed best friends, he had let the man stay ignorant of the truth and let him assume the worst, though even then, the worst hadn’t held up to reality. “You knew?” Feather hissed, glaring at him.
