Xavier had never been fond of flowers or fauna, or nature in general. He had a nasty pollen allergy that often left him with a stuffy and runny nose, sore throat and sometimes even rashes, but he hadn’t known what had come over him when he stepped foot into a flower store. Maybe it was because someone had thought it would have been wise to open a flower store in the rougher part of town, or how it was overrun with nature, despite only having opened recently, he had thought the person owning the store must have had guts. He saw the help-wanted sign and decided to inquire inside for more details, so he took his antihistamines the next day, ignoring how drowsy he felt. After classes ended that day, he went to the store, sent Mercy on her way, and applied. He wasn’t sure what he had expected
