Demetri had already been so on edge about Athena being gone, that when she tried to lie and hide the fact that she was hurt by the vampire's, he came full force at the barrier in my mind and broke it down. It took everything I had to reign all three of my counterparts back in and calm them down once the barrier was down and they all started yelling at one time, but I was finally able to do it once Athena actually told me what happened. After I found out that she had a run in with the vampires who had attacked her parents nineteen years ago, my anger quickly turned into guilt.
