Athena's P.O.V.
As soon as we walk into Damon's mate's room, tears start to slide down his cheek as he stands frozen in the doorway staring at her. Just like the doctor had told me he would do; he's hooked her up to countless fluids and vitamins. She's lying unconscious as the monitor beeps beside her, and I'm not sure if it's because she's finally resting or if the doctor gave her anesthesia for the pain. It also looks like the medical staff had taken the time to clean her up a little, as well. Even though she still looks horribly ill, she no longer has dirt coating her skin.
