I should've known something wasn't right when I lost complete control of my body. Here I was, happy to be talking to my counterparts so casually, when all along, they had been scheming together along with Athena's. When Conrad finally explained to Athena what was actually going on, I lost it. I was screaming and thrashing inside the darkness of my mind, while Demetri just sat back and stared at me, like he hadn't been betraying me this entire time. I could tell that Athena's counterparts finally did the same, that they finally pushed her to the back of her mind and took over as well.
