Chapter Five/ Sparks Fly

" look! A cave..! " Austin exclaimed.

he ran in, and I tried to catch up. He stopped all of a sudden and I froze on my spot.

It was even more beautiful than I imagined.

a beautiful crystal lake glistened inside of the cave.

The water glistened in the moon light. He jumped into the lake, since we're on swimsuits.

I jumped in, we swam for a while

" I sure hope someone finds us tomorrow."

" I may not be the only one who noticed the article of this island on our night stand." Austin replied.

" Really? I didn't notice it"

He lifted my chin with a finger and looked into my eyes, my heart skipped a beat. The way he stared down to me made my cheeks burn and my belly did a backflip. What is this feeling? it's magical.

"They are alot of things you don't notice because of Colton." He said his brown eyes glistened in the light.

"Really? Like what?"

"Forget it " he said and sighed. He got out of the lake and I followed him.

FEW MINUTES LATER

We sat opposite each other with a fire at the middle.

" Good thing you know how to light a fire."

" Yeah, I can't help but be perfect at everything. Including camping." he said, " and something else..." he winked at me.

If it were usual, I'd roll my eyes or ignore him. But for some reason my belly twisted in circles. I looked away just in time before he caught me.

FEW MORE MINUTES

"brrr..."

"You're shivering." he said.

"What did you expect? I dived into that stupid lake and now my very thin underwear are wet!"

he inched a bit closer to me.

" Press your body against mine" he said.

"No way! That's so inappropriate!"

"I'm only trying to help so no need to scold me. How about a hug?" he asked with a tone that suggest he was trying to help.

" Okay" I lingered close to him, he held my lower back "much better?"

"Austin, what if a wild animal attack us?"

" All the wild animals are extinct on this island." Austin said.

" Are you sure?"

" Don't worry i'll be awake" he said and kissed my forehead.

" All night long? No, you're tired too!"

"Go to sleep I'm not tired at all." he said.

I knew he was lying so I tried to be awake so he could sleep but my body betrayed me.

"Good night, shortie." he whispered into my ears.

Surprisingly I had a good night sleep, inhaling his manly scent. It was intoxicating.

In the morning, a yatch dropped anchor at the shore, out came a man running out .

I had slept on top of Austin's comfy chest, and he probably fell asleep too. Hearing approaching footsteps, I woke up to find Colton, with an entire police force. Upon seeing me Colton ran to me

"Zoe! oh thank goodness you're alive!" Colton said he sounded very relieved. All of a sudden he pulled me into his arms.

"Errmmm.... Yes."

"I was so worried about you, why didn't you inform me, I really thought I lost you!" I knew Colton was only worried but seeing the way he pulled me in vigorously was kinda shocking.

"Guys, can we go now?" Austin asked, his tone of voice was settled, but his coldness was quite unsettling.

We got on the yatch, I am at the derk of the yatch looking out to the vast ocean when Colton approached me.

"Zoe, I'm so glad you're okay, ... I, I'm sorry for hugging you like that in front of Austin, hope I didn't cause any trouble?", he said sincerely.

"No, he doesn't care. What's with all the police tho-"

"People said they saw you sneaking out in a boat yesterday ,and when you didn't come back last night... I thought the worst." he said, I tried to smile.

"it's okay, I'm fine now." my words seemed reassuring enough.

Meanwhile, looking at Colton and Zoe from the window is Austin with a serious look on his face, his brows slightly furrowed. Does he look like he doesn't care to you? He's literally fuming up! Common Zoe, get the hint!

When they got back to the island, Natasha and the other couples welcomed her.

"OMG Zoe we were so worried about you!!" Natasha said and ran to hug me.

" Thank goodness you're alright ! We'll throw a little party for you today, oh! I'm so relieved."Amelia said and hugged me.

"Really, a party for our return?"

"WHY NOT! " Amelia said excited.

Yeah, come to think of it though, they are so rich they're having their wedding in an island in frickin' Hawaii !, they have a private jet, and thier own yatch.

I went to the room to get ready for the party, after bathing I slipped into a very hot black short dress, I looked like a sexy cat in black.

" Ok, I'm ready."

" It was about time." Austin said. I actually took two hours to get ready, but his reply and tone was kinda cold.

We went to the party which is at the west wing.

But for some reason, Austin seemed to be ignoring me, he would walk right past me when I tried talking to him. And he started hanging out with the single Ladies, they stuck to him like tuna.

While Colton flirted with Amelia all along, and that's how I found my self drinking. And drinking. And drinking.

Natasha approached me .

"Girl, look at you. Why are you letting those who*res flirt with your man" Natasha said.

"I don't... I trust Austin."

"Still, they're swarming round him like bees to honey, you should go get your man" Natasha said

I turned to them feeling my blood boil, but I didn't know why I even cared that much, Austin has his life, I can't talk it away from him.
