CHAPTER 1 LAURIE'S POV; My life has always been different, not in a funny way Yeah, my name is laurie white and I'm in highschool I have so many students who want to be friends, sometimes i get the idea that because my dad was a rich businessman, he had so many friends too. My mother left me when i was still a little girl, i have heard stories about her but i always hope she comes home. I'm currently in english class with my best friend seraphina addison, she was the best friend i ever had she had a lot of perks but i loved her. ''Are you even listening to the professor seraphina said snapping me out of my thought Mmmmm yeah i responded, my eyes twitching I know that eyes honey, you're lying I'm not i argued knowing she was right I pretend like i believe you but if you zone out again i swear laurie............. I cut in, don't worry best friend i wont zone out i assured her smiling The girls at the back were having their own lessons it was like they pretended like they didn't know the professor was teaching. Those girls never know when to shut it sera said knowing where my attention was I chuckled, let them live their highschool lives Highschool lives my ass, The professor collected his books, positioning his glasses Students i want you to write your interests this week and report to my office, class dismissed. Everyone ran out even before the professor himself, gosh no manners. We went to our lockers to take some books, sera and my lockers were near that's how we met and became friends. Flash back I came out from the principal office after she had confirmed my admission The school was big how was i going to find my classes and most especially my locker I stared at the paper in my hand, I was given the time table of my lectures and and the map to the school Yes, a map I couldn't imagine the school was as twice as big I have never been given a map to find classes in a college before this was my first I turned around and a girl was leaning beside a locker I looked around confused She must have seen my confusion because she smiled ''You must be new here,my name is seraphina but you can call me sera Laurie I answered smiling back at her I wanted to ask her some but she bit me to it ''Mmmm are you looking for your locker mine is 189 What's yours? I looked at my paper and turned to her 188 I guess Consider lucky our lockers are next to each other she laughed slinging her arms around my neck I smiled looking up at her And that's how we became good friends Present time For the nth time girl you have been zoning out sera complained I looked and found out sera has been talking to me this whole time and I wasn't listening I'm sorry I was just thinking I'm sure you were, she teased giving me a glare looking at me I laughed, she was funny when she glared like that Mm I can't be mad at you for long she mumbled . We both smiled at each other, holding hands we went for the next lesson and I just knew the day was getting better.
