Hannah’s POV
"I can't stop you from bringing him, especially since Ray wants him there."
Patrick and I had been talking about how our parents wanted us to visit them in Montesano, and how Anton would be coming with us.
He wasn't happy about it, but because he was my best friend he didn't outright say that.
"Patrick, why -"
"Annie, please don't make me say it. You're happy, and I don't want to s**t on that." he said with a sad smile.
"You know that he's sorry."
"Sorry indeed." he muttered, "Do you think Ray and my dad are going to want to take us fishing like last time?"
Patrick was smooth at transitions, that was for sure, and I decided to go with it. There wasn't anything I could do to change his mind - aside from explaining Anton and Elena's past - and I wouldn't ever betray Anto
