Anton’s POV
A car trip to Montesano with Ana and Patrick wasn't exactly an ideal situation since I was pretty sure Patrick still wasn't very happy with me, but Ana felt differently.
"He's fine. Now come on, we need to pick him up so we can get a move on." she said, pressing a soft, lingering kiss to my lips, before all but yanking me off the couch.
I chuckled, amused by how excited she was. It was a stark contrast between how she'd acted when her mother was coming to visit.
Then again, it was obvious, now, why she felt that way.
I was curious as to if Ray knew about his ex-wife's history with Ana, but I doubted it.
