Chapter 2: Phone Calls I pull into the driveway and get out of the car, gathering my groceries so I only have to make one trip. Unlocking the door, I think about the past couple of months here in this house with my little sister Ashley. She was so supportive and ready to take me in, but I still feel a bit disjointed from the sudden changes in my life. Emma is totally out of the picture and doesn’t even text me anymore. Poppi is “seeing” some mysterious woman we’ve never met, and the planned Christmas trip to Flagstaff is giving me anxiety attacks.
