ROLLINGS POV
I was enjoying lying with my mate in my arms when the door opened and the doctor walked in. I motioned for him to not wake Paulette just yet. He complied and neared the bed.
"Hello Beta, the alpha mentioned that he wanted me to check up on your mate and baby." The doc whispered to me.
I gently shook Paulette to wake her up so that the doctor could check up on her and the pup. "Sweetheart, the doctor is here to check up on you and our pup."
Paulette finally stirred and snuggled closer into my embrace. I chuckled. "Honey, please wake up. They will need to to an ultrasound to make sure the pup wasn't harmed by the knock-out potion."
She smiled as she sleepily yawned. "Pups you mean."
I froze, not quite understanding what she said. "What do you mean?"
