"One more thing, Happy Birthday Hayley." Hayley watched as Dante walked out of the house without giving her even a final glance, the tears that had been falling from her eyes intensified. Emily looked Hayley, her lips stretching into a devious smile. She bowed her head a bit and then headed out, chasing after Dante. Hayley heard the bells of warning and dread that had been playing inside her, intensify. Her body turned weak, loosing it's strength and she fell to the ground, hitting her waist against the table. "Hayley, are you alright?" Veronica asked with panic, bending down to make sure Hayley was fine, tears had welled up in her eyes as well. "Hayley, talk to me." Veronica said shaking Hayley to get her back to reality. Her eyes was filled with so much worry. "Sister in law, are you okay?" Dave tried to step forward and help but Veronica stopped him with a glare. "Stay away from my sister, what do you want? Have your brother not hurt her enough?" Veronica said, gritting her teeth in anger. Her eyes gazed at Dave with fire in them. "Veronica...." Dave tried to apologize and explain to her that he had no idea what was happening but Veronica was already blinded by rage. "Leave from here." "Atleast, let me help her to the hospital." Dave pleased, picking Hayley up with worry in his eyes. Veronica and Dave, then hurried out of the house. ......................................... Cole had just finished from work, when his secretary ran into the office with worry on his face. "What's Wrong?" He asked. Their Company stock had just begun to grow once again and there were already too much loop holes in their company, did someone find out about it? Or the stock markets had dropped? "Mr. President, it's Miss Hayley." Cole stopped up at once at the mention of Hayley's name, unhidden worry evident with the crease in his eyes. "She was taken to the hospital and there are so many unfiltered and terrible news, pictures trending on online right now." He whispered, afraid to talk too loud. Everyone knew how Cole was when it came to his daughter's, he loved them so much and would do anything to protect them. "Veronica, sent a message for you. It's on your phone, but she asked me to tell you to come to the hospital soo..." Before his secretary finished reading the report, Cole already stepped out from the office and was heading towards his car. It did not take long for Cole to arrive at the Private hospital owned by the Maroon's. He asked the receptionist for Haley's room number and he went there directly. Hayley was clutching onto the bedsheets like her life depended in it. Her tears striken face, filled with even more tears. Since she woke up in the hospital, she had tried to contact Dante but he was not picking up her calls. She sent him texts, begging for him to pick up her calls but Dante ignored her texts as well. Hayley mind went back to two months ago, when she had woken up beside a man in bed and it was no other than Dante. She has been shocked and tried to escape but the reporters had cornered the both of them at the hotel. Their families agreed to get them married and so soon after, marriage happened. She had been in love with him after he helped her and saved her from drowning on their college trip to the words, three years ago. So she had been excited, when she was told that, Dante agreed to marry her. Everything had gone down hill for her, when Dante presented a contract to her on the night of their marriage, saying that, their marriage would only last for six months and that, he was in love with someone else. "If you love someone else, then why did you agree to marry me? Why not marry her?" Hayley has asked. "Because my parent's asked me to marry you." That was Dante's reply and so she was forced to sign the contract. Cole walked in to find Hayley crying and clutching onto the bed sheet, the sorrow, despair and sadness on her face was hard to miss. "Hayley..." Cole muttered, he sped-walked in and pulling Hayley into a tight hug. "Da....d" Hayley murmured trying to stop herself from stuttering. She did not want her father, to see her crying. "It's okay Princess, Daddy is here. You do not have to hold it in." "I want to go home dad. I do not like the hospital dad, please take me home." Hayley begged, her shoulder's shaking from the intensed crying. "Alright. Just wait here and I'll take you back home. Let me see the doctor quickly." Cole replied, kissing Hayley's head and then he left. Hayley wiped her face, waiting for her father's return. Veronica came in after a while and began to help Hayley pack her phone and accessories, and help her change out of the gown as well. A few minutes later, Cole arrived and lead the girls out of the room. He had his car parked outside, so he lead them outside. Hayley looked paler than usual, her lips cut and dry, her eyes had lost all it's sparkle and they looked lifeless. The receptionist made snickering noises when they saw Hayley walking out of the hospital, they had seen the news and believed that Hayley was a Wh*re as said and she deserved no sympathy. Cole and Veronica had forgotten about the news spreading on the Internet, knowing that Hayley was a public figure and so reporters would certainly stop around to bash her. They had not planned for it or even expected it and so, when they were taken by surprise. It was already too late. As soon as Hayley, stepped out from the hospital doors, reporters rushed out from their hiding spots and began flashing lights and taking photos of her. "Miss Hayley, is it true that you were caught cheating behind Mr. Dante's back?" "Miss Hayley, did Mr. Dante really divorce you?" "Miss Hayley, what do you have to say for yourself?"
