Her First Love

Ch 6

After an hour of just talking and walking around the park, they headed back to Zack’s car, arriving at her club in 20 minutes. While she left to go inside through the back doors, Zack parked his car. She was talking to Roland about the trip tomorrow when she noticed Zack walk inside the club. 

“Would you be able to manage tomorrow? We could ask Beth to pull a double shift for the weekend. She needs the money and we need the help” Susan suggested. She had never left her baby alone before, this would be the first time. Just thinking about it made her feel sad on two accounts, one being far away from the club. The second being that she had forgotten about the world outside of her club. What happened to the girl who wanted to explore and travel. 

Roland seemed to notice her worry and excitement too because he replied with “if you don’t go, we are boycotting this club forever.” Roland hugged Susan before telling her to enjoy the day and don’t worry about the club at all. 

“Can you do me one more favor and let Fiona know as well. Have been trying to call her but it keeps going to voicemail. She might be asleep?” Susan guessed. 

Roland handed her and Zack a drink before going back to the bar. 

“Hey, I am just going to go to the office and check my accounts and get some work done so I don't have to do three days worth after I get back” Susan leaned close to Zack as the music was getting loud. 

“Ok. I will stay for some time and then leave. Will pick you up at 6 am, be ready sweetheart?” Zack said, making her blush at his endearment. As if agreeing to go with him on a weekend trip made her his girlfriend. Susan was happy if that was indeed true. But she wouldn’t make any assumptions, till he actually asked her to be his girlfriend out loud. 

Susan proceeded to her office to her work while Zack went back to his beer. 

After 3 hours of pouring over receipts and entering all the data into the computer, Susan was tired. She went back out to see Zack still at his spot. “I thought you would be gone by now” Susan addressed him, making him turn around. 

“I was hoping to get a goodbye kiss before I left. Seeing that we would be spending the weekend together, I should at least have a thank you kiss” Zack smirked, making Susan laugh and feel a little offended, 

“So the whole invite was just for a kiss. Should I worry about your intentions?” Susan inquired with a serious face, holding back a laugh. 

“That was over the top, I admit” Jack rubbed the back of his head, “I was just kidding but I promise on scout’s honor, I would never force myself on any woman” 

Susan took that as a sorry and decided to kiss him on the cheeks as a goodbye. 

“I guess, I deserve that. It’s more than I would have given in your shoes. I was a total jerk.” Zack said while standing. He easily towered over her, making Susan crane her neck to look at his eyes. Those blue eyes seemed to intoxicate her and she didn’t even notice when they were less than an inch between their lips. She was almost standing on her tiptoes and Zack had also lowered his head, their breaths heavy, lips moistening. Susan made the first move and closed the distance between them, gently brushing her lips to his lips. Zack soon took over the kiss by holding on to her waist with one hand and the other around her neck. He pressed his lips more firmly, probing with his tongue to gain access to her mouth, which Susan granted easily. Their tongues dueled while the whole club got drunk to the crazy music beats. 

Susan was the first to break apart as the music died down and also because she was out of breath. She had been kissed by a couple of guys in college, but those kisses were nothing compared to Zack’s. She was literally blown away, her senses were still in shock and pleasure. God knows how she managed to stand upright, with her knees threatening to buckle. Susan moved to sit by the stool by the bar, suddenly shy to look at Zack’s face. Zack chuckled next to her before bringing his hands to lift her chin. 

“God, that was incredible. I would enjoy kissing you all night Susan.” Zack praised her kissing skills. Suddenly, she felt confident enough to keep her face raised without his help. 

“You are not bad yourself.” Susan complimented him, watching him hold a hand to his heart and wink. 

“Maybe I need to kiss you again if that is all you have to say,” Zack suggested before taking her mouth on another breathtaking roller coaster. The effect was the same, sparks flew between them creating an electric buzz. It was purely magical. Zack was right, they could just simply kiss all night, it was that good.

All too soon, they were interrupted by Robbie's loud remark “get a room guys, there are customers lined up behind you.” Robbie said while winking at her. 

“I should go home, have to get up early for a weekend with this sexy but sweet girl,” Zack said mischievously. 

“Well, you better go. I don’t wanna keep you from your date. Heard she is a badass, wouldn’t want to be on her bad side.” Susan replied smugly. 

Zack left just after midnight, leaving Susan to say goodbye to her staff before going home. 

Susan entered her house tired from the day’s excitement. She made a beeline for a hot bath, might not get time to do much in the morning, seeing as she was not a morning person. She brushed her teeth before climbing into the bed but sleep seemed to allude her. She wanted to talk to Zack but he might probably be sleeping so she decided to listen to music and pack. Half an hour later, she was packed and tired from running around the house. She fell face down on the bed, dreaming about tomorrow’s adventure with Zack.
