Chapter 2

Hayden P.O.V We got out of the car, exhausted. When Hunter and I was about to head inside our house we heard noises and music coming from the inside. We entered as quietly as possible, Hunter grabbed a vase, just as precaution. The sound was coming from the kitchen. As quietly as we could, we made our way there. I froze in surprise. There was a girl, singing with a wooden spoon and dancing in the kitchen. She was so beautiful. She had short, dark, curly hair that barley reached her shoulders and she was really short, but at the same time were we pretty tall. Her dark freckles spread across her whole face, getting intenser on her nose. The most stunning thing about her was her eyes! Her left eye was a dark brown color that shined gold in the light, and her left eye was a darker shade of ocean blue. She was wearing a Winnie the pooh hoodie and some black sweatpants. I would guess she wasn't expecting to meet anyone. Instantly I knew she was the one. Our mate. I heard glass shatter and my head snapped to Hunter. He had dropped the vase and I could tell he was just as surprised as me. I mind-linked him: 'It's her!'. He immediately replied: 'I know!'. We had waited for ten years for this moment. Since we were 16 we had waited to find our mate, but when we turned 23 we lost all hope. For a werewolf, not finding your mate is one of the most heartbreaking things you can endure. And now she was finally here, standing in front of us. She looked at us with a surprised face. I couldn't help a grin spreading across my face, from ear to ear. "I'm so sorry! Your mom sent me here to cook dinner and she said you guys wouldn't be here so I just came in my PJ's. And by the way I'm Leo and I'm really sorry, this is so embarrassing!", she rambled. Both me and Hunter chuckled and she stopped talking. Looking at us apologetically. "No, no. It's okay", Hunter replied. I couldn't get any words out of me, so I just stood there and stared. "Well, if you'll excuse me I'll let you, hopefully, enjoy your dinner and I'll leave", she motioned towards the table, which was set with food, wine and candles. She started to walk towards the door. "Wait!", was the only word that I could get out of me. I could basically hear my wolf beg me to go and hug her, but I held myself back. She looked at us confused. "You could stay", Hunter finishes my sentence. I could tell she was considering it, she probably felt the pull. The pull that connected us. The force that pulled us together. "Thanks, but I should really get going. See you on Monday!", she replied and walked out of the house before we could object. As the door closed I looked, speechless, at Hunter. And he looked the same at me. Hunter and I were twins. We were also werewolf's, specifically Alphas of one of the highest packs in the world, the 'Blood Moon Pack'. Being twins meant we were inseparable. We had tried not to share a room and spending time away from each other, but it hadn't worked out. Without Hunter I didn't feel whole, like there was something missing, and same goes for him. Being twins also meant that we would share the same mate, which didn't bother us, since we already share literally everything. We were happy that we would share mate, but we were even happier that we finally had found her. I looked at him and I could tell he was thinking the same thing I did. "It really was her", I said to him. "I know", he responded. Leilys P.O.V I'm so embarrassing! What had I done? I'm so not going to get the job. But damn they were hot! And there I stood like a freaking child in a Winnie the pooh hoodie and sweatpants. On my walk back home all I could think about was the boys. They must've been twins. They looked identical except for their eyes. One of them had dark-forest-green eyes and the other one had light-ocean-blue eyes. Both of them were very tall, and with my short frame they towered over me. They were strong and you could see that. You could see how their muscles connected from one point to another, making a network of strength. They had light brown, thick hair. Thick and full eyebrows and a defined jawline. Without having to think about it, I could easily say they were the most sexiest and handsomest guys I've ever seen. And don't get me started on that voice! I was dark and sexy, yet gentle and soothing. Any woman would easily fall for them. I know it's weird, but I felt pulled to them. When the one with blue eyes said I could stay I actually considered it. I was like a invisible bond connected us. I shook my thoughts of as I got back home. The refugee camp.
