My little Baby Girl

Chapter 3

Sage P.O.V.

Walking into the room today, I was so scared that he may not like me and want some other little. But no, he is the first one ever to want to get to know the panda and looks into my eyes.

Everyone else looks every else but my eyes, and they never really talk to me. Why I don't want to talk to anyone but panda, but Mr. T (Theo) makes me want to speak to him about things I usually don't.

Maybe, just this once, I will open up just a little and try to ... to get the one thing I always wanted.

A family.

Something I wished for every night, a daddy or mommy, to take care of me, and love me, and for me to show them I love them. To make happy memories and play with them, ask them to stay up late watching movies.

I have dreams too.

But all I hope for is to come true now.

'Do you want me to be your daddy?'

When those words came out of Mr. T's mouth, my whole world melted. It feels someone came and give me all my dreams all at once, and more on top of it!

"Yes, please," I yell. My mouth and eyes go wide, Realizing I just screamed. I might get punished for it.

Mr.T laughs, and head pats me. Wow, no punishment? I think I will love him forever.

"Dr.Elijah, I would like those papers for Adoption. I want to bring her home today."

"Yes, sir Theo, I will grab them now."

Dr.E leaves the room. As soon as the door closes, I wrap my arms around his neck. I am hugging him tightly, my face in his neck.

"Thank you," I say, letting some tears going down my cheek.

"Why are you crying, baby girl? I hope those are happy tears" he rubs my back.

"It-it is daddy..... because I'm going to have a daddy."

"Good, because I would hate if it were different. Daddy wants you to be happy, baby girl."

He pulls me back down on his lap, whipping away my tears away. He kisses my forehead. He is so gentle with me, this feels weird, but I love the attention from daddy.

"There we go, baby girl, now can I see those smiles?"

I smile up at him, and he smiles back. He bends down and picks up a panda that falls out of my hands, putting it right on my lap. I hug panda tightly, wishing it was daddy again. I want another hug from daddy.

"Now listen, Sage, when the Dr.Eligh gets back, he as to give you a Needle to help you. So please let him and I give you a treat tomorrow, ok?"

"Ok, daddy"

"And you don't need to worry about your clothes here. I have already picked out everything you will need back home. So please, you don't need to worry."

That means I don't have to wear those ugly gray skirts and black tops anymore! I can wear all the colours in the rainbow! Maybe I can wear each colour a day.

The door opens, and Dr.E walks in with another person holding a needle. They start to set everything up while I bury my head in panda.

They didn't even tell me when it happened, but I felt it a hard Pinch, and I scream. It hurt, and I can't move my dang arms to push the needle away! I started to cry hard, and daddy keeps talking to me.

Before I knew it, daddy was hugging me and letting me cry into his chest. I drop my panda out of my hands and tightly wrapped on daddy's shirt.

"Shh, you are alright, baby girl... Daddy got you."

"D-daddy no m-more.. they hurt"

"I know, baby, but you did it, baby girl... you did such a good job. Daddy is so proud of you."

Daddy walks around the room, bouncing me up and down, letting me cry all the hurt out. Daddy grabs panda and makes me look up at him.

"Look, Sage, even panda, is very proud that you did it. And look, now we can all go home together. Don't you want to panda to meet all his new friends?"

Ooh! I want to leave before daddy, or Dr.E makes me take another shot in the arm again! That hurt, and now all I want is ice cream!

"Y-yeah," nodding my head.

"Alright, baby girl, just a couple more minutes before we leave, ok?"

"Ok," whispering to daddy.

Daddy holds me close to his body. I love his hugs. Maybe we can have more cuddle time when we get home and watch movies all night with daddy. I am closing my eyes, welcoming the darkness.

Theo P.O.V.

"She's out. Please get the next shot ready to do, Dr. Elijah."

"Right away, Theo."

I have been reading her mind the whole time, and by the time her last thought came, I fall in love with how excited I was going to be her daddy.

I hope I have everything I need to take care of Sage. If we need more things or anything I could go for a walk. Maybe I should get Sage a giant panda bear as a welcome home.

I will need to look at the other papers to see what the other kids did to her. There's more to this girl. Why didn't the caregivers take care of her better? Sage could have moved to a different building, or is there something else I need to know.

Moving her hair out of the way, the doctor shots her in the back of the neck. She whined and started crying again. Even I know it is going to hurt more than the one in her arm.

"SSShhh, it's ok baby, it is ok. No need to cry, just a nightmare, yes?"

Sage cries and tries touching her neck. Grabbing her hand, I kiss her hand and forehead. Bouncing her up and down, getting her to calm down. Once the pain goes away, she falls back to sleep. Sage is going to be out intel the morning.

"Let's move, Mr. Wilson. The head people want to talk to."

Walking down the hallway, Dr.Elijah opens another door. Walking into the room, I see the crib, putting Sage in there. I walk over to the table, waiting for the people.

"They will be here in a minute Theo. It was nice meeting you, and I hope to see you both"

As he was turning stepping out of the room, I say "You know better than to call my name like Elijah Wood. You know I don't like to be called by that name, even if we are family."

Elijah stops turning his head over to me. "You know, even if you left father and mother. They still miss you and still want you back in their life. I hope to see you more than once 40 later."

"You know more than me. I'm never going back to the people who put their money before a child. And calm down, I'm only 270 years old. You act as if I'm going to die soon."

Elijah smirks. "I will always look up to you. Call me if you need any help with the little or yourself, Theo" he walks out the door closing it.

Well, it looks like my family is going to know my business soon, then I thought. After I tried so hard to stay away from them, they keep finding me. You might as well face the music when it comes time.

Grabbing Sage's paperwork, I look over her papers. Showing her doctor's appointment, times she got punished, and her BIO info. But it doesn't show her who is her parents are or what hospital she was born in.

The door opens, a man came inside and sits at the table. "Mr. Theo. It's nice to see you, but I never thought you would get a little"

"Hello again, Jay. And yes, I wanted to change my life around. My life was getting boring, and I waited long enough to get a small human. Now tell me, why aren't some things on her paper?"

He takes a deep breath, crossing his arms and looking down at my Sages paper. "Well, you had to go pick the one with a different human in the whole building. But, I must tell you that Sage is no normal little or human."

"She wasn't born in the hospital because her mother was doing at-home birth, and she didn't report having a child or even having more kids."

I know humans will do anything to keep their children at any cost, but this is my first time hearing that a human could keep her kids hidden from the eyes of trackers.

"How many children were hiding?"

"All together, we found at least six humans children. That was from the first house. We didn't get to the other place in time. The father had the heads up about finding them and took them and left."

I guess even the father didn't want to give the kids up. I think it's better to run if you were human, but what happened to this family?

"At the time Sage was around two-three years old, I guess Sage ran out of the house because she saw the green grass for the first time. And one of the vampires was hunting where the house was identified to tell everyone here.. Then they bought them here, all the kids and the mother was sent to the higher-ups. Out of those six children, three of them were staying here."

Wow, so Sage could have been playing with her siblings without realizing it. That must mean that those other kids went to Orphanage right away, and people who deal with kids like Sage don't have time for the normal ones. They are rude to them and right away will kill them off or send them off to human laws.

"And what happened to the siblings that were here? Or did you send them off different places?"

Jay smirk. "You have the youngest one. Then the two older boys already have their masters. The twin Phoenix brothers have them. They seem to love them right away, like how you love Sage there" he points to Sage in the crib.

"Why does my past keep coming back to those twin brothers and me. Don't tell them I have Sage. I don't want them trying to steal away my little. You hear me, Jay?"

"Yes, sir, your wish is my command."

I will need to move around in this city if I'm going to be deal with those dumb twins. Oh well, more playing time them with them for a while.
