Iris Vera, known everywhere as 'The Angel of Death' walked down the hospital hallways like she always did for these past few weeks. After Blanche was admitted because of her *accident*, the doctors suggested for her to stayed for further examination. Iris knocked on her wife's ward door and entered. Iris signaled for the bodyguards to walked out and closed the door. She went to Blanche's bed and sat on it carefully. Blanche stirred and opened her eyes. "Iris.." Iris smiled. "Hey... How's your day?" Blanche smiled. "Good. The pain is gone. But I want to go home.." Iris caressed her wife's cheek and nodded. "I know.. But we need to make sure you're okay before going home. Okay?" Blanche nodded. "I'm feeling fine.." Blanche looked at her wife thoroughly. "You changed your hair color again.." Iris smiled. "Well, I was thinking to go natural." Blanche went through her wife's short hair. "I like it... No.. Love it.." Iris chuckled and kissed her wife's hand. "Zeva?" "In a very safe place." Blanche smiled. "LA?" Iris nodded. "Iva agreed to take care of her for a while." Blanche facial turned sad. "I miss her.." Iris gave her wife a sad smiled. "Me too. But it's dangerous for her now. She's little. She doesn't understand what's happening." Blanche nodded and turned to the Windows. "Did you meet her?" Blanche question made Iris think for a moment. "Iris... Did you meet Pandora?" Iris slowly shakes her head. Blanche sighed. She thought Iris known better than to let that girl wandering around alone. "You need to find her. Ask her to stay with us in the mansion. It's time Iris. She's been staying with Suzy since she was 14. She needs to stay with us." Iris nodded at every word her wife said. "But with the war going on and our mansion constantly being targeted, it's not safe.." Blanche placed both hands on Iris's face. "Baby, with her alone outside of our care is more dangerous. Find her and bring her here. I miss her so much." Iris couldn't bear to say no to such beautiful woman plea. "Okay... I'll find her the first thing tomorrow. Now rest up. I'll stay here for the night." They both kissed each other good night and Iris waited until her wife fell asleep. Ashton walked in and sat next to Iris. "How's my sister?" Iris motioned her hand to Blanche. "No difference than yesterday?" Iris shakes her head. "Any news about Pandora?" Ashton nodded and gave Iris an envelope. "She went to a public school near Suzy's house. She manages to get herself a driving license and saving up for a car. No one knows she's your kid. Yet." Iris opened the envelope and smiled when she noticed Pandora's picture all grown up. Her hair was a soft brown with the slightest wave in it. She was a natural beauty. The only make up she had on was a circle of black eyeliner that hugged her eye so perfectly it looked as though she were born with it there. Her eyes were a dark brown. So dark that it almost matched the liner. Iris again smiled when she read through Pandora's school's achievement. She's one amazing kid. "Security?" Ashton nodded. "24/7 since she was14." Iris smiled. "Good job Ashton. I'll need to use the Ferrari tomorrow." Ashton looked at her sister in law with questioning looks. "I'm going to invite Pandora to stay in our house." *** The alarm goes off and Pandora struggling to wake up like every morning. She grabbed the alarm and threw it against the floor. A few minutes later, the door was knock and Suzy, her legal guardian for the past 3 years walked in. "Pandora wake up!!" Pandora covered herself with the duvet. "10 more minutes.." She mumbled. "No young lady it's 7 am now! WAKE UP!!" Suzy threw her duvet on the floor and watched at Pandora curled up like a ball. "Wake up!!" Suzy decided to reach for a 'friend' in one of Pandora's bookshelf and covered her left ear. She blew the air horn and Pandora jolted up from the bed, ran straight to the bathroom. Suzy laughed and shook her head seeing how childish this 17-year-old can be. "I'll be waiting in the kitchen!!!" Suzy shouted and walked out. Pandora looked at herself in the mirror and smiled. "You look good!" She pointed at her reflection in the mirror. "You're beautiful! Hot! Sizzling!" She giving herself a pep talk. "Now it's getting weirder.." Pandora started to wash her face with the product she always used. She began to stripped and walked in the steam shower. "Ahhhhh..." she breathed out as the perfect temperature water hitting her skin. After scrubbing every part of her body she walked out of the shower and went to her room again. Pandora looked through her closet and choose dark color clothing. She went to her dresser and only do her eye makeup because she felt that's the only beautiful feature she has. After she's satisfied with everything, she put on her sneakers and walked out towards the kitchen. She noticed Suzy had her back towards her and decide to sacred the middle age lady. She slowly and quietly creeps on the lady and shouted "BOO!" Suzy was stirring the mushroom soup in the pot when Pandora scared her. "PANDORA!" Pandora laughed and went to her usual chair. Suzy put her hand on her chest to calm her heart. "You're lucky I didn't smack you with this spatula!" Pandora chuckled and grabbed a waffle with her hands. "Manners!" Suzy said and pour the soup in a bowl. She placed it in front of Pandora. "That's a very weird combination you know." Pandora smiled. "I like it. Mommy used to do this always." Pandora said as her mind wondering to her mother's. "Blanche?" Pandora nodded. "Don't you want to visit them?" Pandora shakes her head. "Not yet... I'm not ready." "It's been 3 years.. you should consider it.. okay?" Pandora nodded. There's no doubt she misses her mother's. But, she's not ready to face Iris. Yet. They may be the people who adopted her after her parents died but, what they do for a living... it's something a teenager can't handle in real life. Pandora finished her breakfast and bid her guardian goodbye. She walked out of the suburban house and went to her friend and only best friend, Grace. They met on the first day of school and instantly became the best friend. Pandora smiled when she noticed the blonde hair girl waving at her. She's wearing a cream color mini dress and a backpack. She let her blonde hair free and when the wind hit her, she looked like a person from those ads. "You look hot... something going on in school?" Grace shakes her head. "I have a date after school. It will be a fuss going home and change to something cute later." Pandora nodded and chuckled. Grace's boyfriend, Caspian is one of the basketball players. At first, they both felt strange because one of the school star players even talking to them. And they thought he will be using them for pranks and such but Caspian turn out to be a doll. He never forces Grace to do something she hates. And it's hard to find a good hearted guy nowadays and Grace felt lucky for she got the best of the best. Pandora felt her phone vibrated. She reached for it and turned it off when she saw who's calling. "It's your mom.. why didn't you answer?" Grace asked her friend. "I'm not ready to hear her blabbing about coming home. I like it here. I like my normal life. She will ruin it all." Grace place her arms around Pandora's shoulder. "She might be one of the most brutal people in the world, but D, she's your mother. Her name is on the papers that say you're her daughter. Whether you like it or not, she's your real legal guardian, not Suzy." Pandora hates it when Grace was right. "Maybe later okay.. not now. Maybe after our senior year or something. I just want my normal high school life." Grace smiled. "Besides, if the whole school know you're related to the Billions, who knows, the 'things' will subside." "And why do you think that?" "Because they know your mother is one of the most notorious women ever live." Grace chuckled. "I mean you still use your old last name, Pandora Mercer, not Pandora Vera." "It's just a name." "Oh honey, names can be quite powerful." They both arrived at school and immediately all eyes were on Grace as she walked towards a group of guys leaving Pandora alone. Pandora was about to walk towards her locker when Caspian stopped her. "Hey.. come on.. we'll walk together.." Caspian gave Pandora his award-winning smiled and pushed his black hair back with one of his hands. If Pandora was straight, she probably will be all over this boy like her friend does but she's not. Pandora let the couple walked first and followed behind them closely. Caspian and Grace both talking animatedly as for Pandora felt like she's being a third wheeler. They stopped in front of Pandora's locker and waited for her to get her things out. Pandora was trying to open her locker but somehow it won't budge. She took a deep breath and pulled as hard as she could. When the locker burst opened, insects started to crawled and flying out of the locker. Pandora screamed when she felt something crawling on her body. She jumped and tried to get everything off of her body. Caspian closed the locker and stepped on the insects that now crawling around the hallways. The student began to scream and some laughed heartily. One particular nerd laughed his heart out and pointing at Pandora who's about to cry. "That's for beating me in the quiz b***h!" Caspian turned to the boy and handed his books to Grace. "LOUIE YOU BETTER WATCH YOUR BACK!!" Caspian yelled and Louie ran away from the scene. Grace went to Pandora's side and hugged her. "Shhhh... it will all go away... eventually," Caspian called for the janitor and he was baffled by what had happened. "Bring her to your locker. I'll take care of this." Grace nodded and brought Pandora to her locker. Pandora doesn't even know why she became a target for those who seek fun in torturing people's life. It's been these ways for years and the only reason she's still smiling was Suzy and Grace. They have been helpful in dealing with Pandora's struggled. But there's a time where Pandora felt there's too much pressure and she's planning to end it all. Before she could, her mind wanders to her mother, Blanche. She always knows what to say in times like this. Sometimes she would come and visit her without Iris knowing. Pandora was wondering why her mother hasn't visited for weeks now. And the only person who would call her was Iris and she knows she would force her to come to live in the mansion with her. She felt her phone vibrated again but decided to ignore it. "Caspian will ask the janitors to clean your locker." Pandora nodded. "Just use mine okay?" Pandora nodded. Grace was opening her locker when Pandora was pushed towards her and they both fell. "Loser.. sorry Grace." A familiar voice said and walked away. "BASTARD!" Grace yelled and helped her friend up. "He's a dick." "They all are." Pandora gave her friend a dry laugh. *** Pandora was waiting for the last bell of the day and just get away from this hell hole. The bell rang and Pandora waited for everyone to walked out of the room. The last person had just walked out and she kept her things in her backpack. Grace and Caspian were waiting outside. "The date?" Pandora asked. "Well we want to send you home then we will have our date." Pandora shakes her head no. "It's okay. I can walk alone. Have fun.." Pandora walked away. Caspian and Grace followed her. "At least let us walk with you." Grace chuckled. As they stepped out of the school building. Iris noticed her daughter walked out of the building and stood up from her car hood. She waited for Pandora to noticed her. Pandora stopped on her track when she saw Iris standing in front of her. Grace and Caspian were admiring the short hair woman in front of them. Iris was wearing a formal attire and look like a very important person. "Pandora?" Iris called out. "Mom.." Pandora and Iris looked at each other. When Caspian went to Iris's car, a couple of men came out from The Hummer that was parked behind Iris's. "Settle down boys.." Iris warned them. She took off her sunglasses and Caspian gasped. He knows this person from the news. "Wait... MOM?!" Pandora looked away. Now everyone in school knows who she really was. She's the daughter of a Vera. "We need to talk... please?" Iris begged. Pandora sighed and nodded. Iris smiled and opened the passenger seat for her. Everyone gasped when Pandora entered the car that belongs to the most dangerous person in the world. *** They both inside a cafe close to the school. Iris asked her bodyguards to secure every door and kept an eye on everyone's activity. Anything can happen in a split second. "How are you Pandora?" Iris asked as she stirred her tea. "I'm good.. you?" "I'm great.." Pandora looked at her mother from top to bottom. "Where were you from? I never saw you in such formal attire before." Iris smiled and took a sipped of her tea like a lady. "I'm from the hospital. That's all." "Hospital?" Iris nodded. "Mommy's in the hospital. She's injured." Pandora's heart dropped. That's why she didn't visit her for weeks. "What happens to her?" "Some people just want to get into my nerve. I'm searching for those who responded." Pandora looked around. "These people? Protecting you?" Iris shakes her head. "Protecting you my dear... I can take care of myself." Pandora doesn't know what to say or do. She always thought of Blanche but never in the world she would guess she's in the hospital. "I want to meet her." Iris smiled. "You will. After this talk.." Iris wiped her mouth and pushed her teacup forward. "I want you to live with me in the mansion. It's been 3 years, you have your freedom long enough." Pandora looked down. "Pandora, honey... I just want to make sure you're safe and sound. At least with you under my watch all the time, I can do my work like always. I'm worried for your safety.." Pandora knows she's in deep trouble now. "No. You're not in trouble. But please honey, moved back to our mansion. With Zeva away I'm lonely. We're lonely." Pandora thought about her school. "But... it's far from my school." Iris smiled. "We have a lot of cars for you to choose and drive. Don't say otherwise. I know you passed your driving test. For that I congratulate you." Pandora blushed. She never heard Iris compliment her before. When the door to the cafe opened, Pandora's eyes widen when she heard the familiar voice of a woman. The voice who rock her world more than anyone else. The voice that made her shivered every time. The voice of an angel. Iris noticed her daughter getting nervous for no reason. She observed her thoroughly. Pandora turned slowly and her eyes laid on a beauty from Olympus itself. She's a goddess. Everyone wants her and girls want to be her. The only thing that was a bother was that she's straight. Iris smiled. "The girl that just walk in... you know her?" Pandora slowly nodded. "Classmate. That's all." Iris chuckled. Iris raised both eyebrows when she noticed a boy kissed the girl's cheek. The group decided to take a table next to Iris's. "Don't worry. You will get your girl.." Iris smiled at her daughter. "I doubt it.." Pandora said under her breath and turned to the goddess. She watched the girl tied up her blonde hair and breath out a sighed when she being loving towards the man who pushed her in school earlier. "Clarice baby.. just order anything you like. I'm paying.." Pandora scoffed when she heard Timothy said that. "Oh really? That's what you said last time and I ended up paying everything.." Pandora chuckled. "Oh, baby.. you know I was having some money issue at the time." "Next time, bring some money. I can't pay for everything every time.." Clarice said and that earned a salute from Timothy. Timothy turned his head around and laughed when he noticed Pandora sitting next to their table. He leaned in at the wall that separated their table. "What is a loser like you doing here?!" Timothy asked out loud. Clarice pulled him back to his seat and smiled apologetically at Pandora. "Don't make a scene! You've promised!" Clarice warned her boyfriend. Timothy waved it off and leaned in again. "Answer me loser.. there's no way someone like you could afford eating here." Timothy turned to Iris. He started to laugh. "Oh s**t! YOU'RE A DYKE?!" By now everyone's eyes were on them. Pandora wished that she could be as small as an ant right now. Iris noticed how her daughter reacted to his words. "TIMOTHY!" Clarice pulled her boyfriend back again and apologize to both Iris and Pandora. "Mom... let's go home.." Iris smiled. "Sure honey.." Iris stood up and so does the other bodyguards. Timothy watched them with wide eyes. One of the guards offered his helped to carried Pandora's belonging and let their bosses walked out from the cafe and followed by others. One of them stared at Timothy and purposely showed them his Vera Group tattoo. "You just got lucky Lady Iris didn't decapitate your head.." He said and walked away. Clarice wonders to what she heard Pandora called the mysterious woman. "Mom?" Clarice breathes out and pushed her boyfriend. "This is why I said not to make a scene!" She sighed.
