The road to recovery was not easy. Eventually, Xavier healed from his physical wounds and with countless therapy sessions. I felt better, the dreams still occurred but they were very minimal. When they did occur, Xavier would hold me tight and whisper reassuring words in my ear. That always helped me feel better, that he was still there with me. Xavier had texted me from work saying he had a surprise for me. As much as I tried to figure it out what the surprise was, I couldn’t. What could a girl ask for? I had everything, Xavier spoils me quite a bit. Maybe it was food, pasta food…. I drooled at the prospect of pasta or even more so McDonald’s.
