Married to a Beast

Tracy had a little brother who was just a baby, (Lucia) the mother lost (die) her son when he was just 3 years of age to sickness because of lack of health care and Tracy became the only child of her parents, life was not that easy for both Tracy and the mother, it was very hard for them to eat two square meal a day and then the mother decided to take her to her own parents ( grand ma and grand dad) but Tracy decided to stay with her grand father because both granny's do not stay together as the family was a polygamous family ( grand father married five wives) and Tracy's grand ma was the first but the fifth wife was the one at home with the grand pa. On getting to grand pa house, things changed and life was a bit easy, grand pa enrolled her into kindergarten because at that time she was just 5 years of age and she was brilliant, she never let her predicament weigh her down, she was the best in her class, all through her nursery to basic school, she was an introvert and never really associate with people because when she was asked about her father, she didn't have any thing to say for she really never knew who her dad was, all she knows was she had a father who went in search of greener pastures and never returned back, both Tracy and the mother never knew he went to another town to marry another woman and has even had children with her, Tracy's father was a womanizer and on hearing that, Tracy told the mother to remarried for she had never given any man chance since her husband left for the so called greener pastures, so the mother took ( her daughter's) Tracy's advice and opened her heart for another man after 8 years of waiting for her so called husband. ( at that time, Tracy is already 12 years of age) she was in college and was still doing well in her academy but was never happy because she was being bullied in school because she never knew her dad. Things went that way for years until she told her mother she wanted to see her father, not knowing the father's family resides in same town where she base, on going there, the grand ma (father's mother) welcomed her warmly and promised to take her to the father who resides outside their town. She was very happy and couldn't wait for the day to come, she had sleepless nights counting for summer break just to had time with her dad, Few weeks after the visit to her grand mother (father's mother) home; They went to the town in which the father base and she was given a warm hugged by a dark chubby, average height lady (her step mother) with a beautiful smile.. How are you my darling? said Danielle with a smile on her face. ( The step mother) I am great said Tracy wearing a big smile on her face, with her eyes all over the place searching for her dad, wondering why he hasn't come out to welcome her.. I guess you must be looking for your dad; said Danielle. I sure am said Tracy. Come my dear, you must be starving after a long trip. I prepared something yummy for you, there fore, you are going to love it.. Thank you...... Danielle quickly replied' Danielle is my name, you can call me mummy.. Thank you for making today special for me how ever, I am bursting, replied Tracy. After using the restroom, she took her bath and ate plenty of food served by her step mom.. two hours later the dad entered and she was extremely happy and ran to hugged him when Danielle told her that the father was the one coming, how ever something strange happened; The father wasn't really happy to see her, she felt bad: she could not hold back her self and tears rolled down her cheeks, she felt rejected by her own father and she went and told her grand mother (father's mother) who was inside that she could not spend the night in that house, that the father did not want her in the house. The woman went and talked to the son who said , ' Mother I am pissed off, how can she be staying with her mother's parents and what about you, I want her to be staying with you when you get back to town. The mother wasn't that happy with the decision because in her opinion, her son is just being ungrateful. how ever, she didn't have a choice. Moreover; she wanted her (Tracy) who is her first (grand child) to live with her as other of her grand children was. Tracy did not buy the idea because she knew that if she should live her grand father's (mother's father's) place she would lack education because her grand father was an educationists and she being brilliant did not want it to go down the drain. Few weeks after the visit, they went back to the town with a letter given to Tracy by her dad to take it to his grand father. In the letter was ( Thank you for taking care of my daughter, how ever I want her to be with my mother, if she refused, she seize to be my daughter) The grand father was not happy for he felt he has been humiliated and he asked Tracy, do you want to go and stay with your grand mother? ( father's mother) asked the grand father? No! answered Tracy, if I go there, I do not think I will be able to finish my school... Hmmm! (replied the grand father) in addition, your father said he is going to disown you if you reject his proposal.. If that is the case, I disown him as a father as well, never the less he wasn't part of my life from day one.. Since that day hence forth, they ( Tracy and the father) cut tiles with each other. Three years after, Tracy graduated from high school and she didn't have money to further to the university, as the grand father became ill.
