the sunlight hit her eyes slightly when su jin opened her eyes.she looked around with blurry eyes,seeing it was her room she looked lost at first then confused "how come am home already I only wanted to take a nap in hyunjin’s car",absentmindedly she fumbled around searching for get phone.picking it up she looked at the time her eyes widened in shock
"holy f**k its evening already"she cursed and jumped down from the bed but because she wasn't stable she fell down on her butt
"owww" she moaned in pain and rubbed her little butt her face twisted in pain and discomfort.slowly getting up she went downstairs while holding her bruised butt

startled she held the railing and turned around slowly seeing her mothers dark face she smiled sheepishly "heheheheh mom I missed you"

pffffft su jin burst into laughter "su su!!! mom are you still calling yeong su that name,he might faint if he hers that" she said while laughing with glee.grabbing a cup she pours water and drinks from it
"come sit down I've already asked the kitchen to prepare the food a long time I also asked them to buy your favorite rice dumpling it's bring reheated"gu min said while sitting

"your father had to attend an important meeting though he promised to come back for dinner" gu min replied and grabbed an apple
while waiting for su chul to be served they made small talks while the maids served the food.
"master is back" the butler announced and su jin hurriedly stood up and bounced to the door seeing her father she jumped and pounced on him .

su chul chest rumbled as he laughed "you little brat why didnt you inform us you'll be back today you've been gone for four years and suddenly pop out this way"
clinging to him like a koala bear she shook her head "no no dad you and mom got it wrong I only wanted to surprise you guys that's why"
su chul patted her hair softly "alright anyways its good you are back" he said as they walked back to the dining room.

"yes" su chul replied and bent to kiss her forehead

laughing gu min placed a beef in su chuls bowl then placed the rice dumpling on su Jin's.they ate while talking and laughing looking harmonious.once they ate to their fill the family moved to the lounge to rest a little when su jin was about to sit down she spotted a red card lying on the coffee table
"mom what's this"? she asked while opening it.gu min and su chul's expression changed when they saw the red invitation
"hmmm who's getting married"? she asked again her eyed fell on the name written on it the smile on her face faded and her expression clouded ,she dropped the invite back and slowly sat down.
gu min heart ache as she saw her daughter like this moving closer she comforted her "don't be saddened by this okay that mo pingyu doesn't deserve you.a scumbag and a slut are the right match,they go well with each other"
"its fine mom actually I'll like to attend it " su jin announced
"WHAT"? her parents asked in unison shock clearly embedded on their face
" I just want to treat it as a closure " su jin mumbled her voice low.

"yes dad its the day after tomorrow right I have a nice gown I'll wear it" su jin smiled faintly
"alright darling" her parents agreed reluctantly.
standing up she stretched a bit" mom,dad its quite late and am still jet lagged from the plane ride I'll go back to my room and rest goodnight" she kissed both their cheeks and retired to her room.gu min and su chul looked at each other silently before leaving for their room.
getting to her room su jin climbed the bed and dragged her duvet getting ready to sleep when her phone ranged,glancing at it she saw gu yeong flashing on the screen and picked up immediately
" hey" she greeted her tone very low
"what's wrong"?hyunjin asked instantly

"its nothing" she answered
on the other end of the phone yeong su eyes darkened and he kept quiet.no one spoke for a few minutes
"Hyunjin”? Su jin called out breaking the ice

"did you know about it,I mean the engagement"? she asked

chuckling softly she smiled "you know me well.yes I want to attend.I think its time for me to let go"

"that conniving b***h is back" she uttered to herself anger lacing her voice
"yes miss our spies saw her getting into a car at the airport at that time"a man wearing a black suit reported

searching for what to wear for the party su jin turned her wardrobe upside down but didnt find anything suitable to wear.exhausted she sat on the floor to catch her breath looking at the mess she created she sighed softly and picked up her blue mermaid gown deciding to wear it. getting up she went down for breakfast
"morning dad,morning mom"she greeted before sitting down
"how's my little princess MNM?" su chul asked and smiled while dropping the papers he was reading

"alright no more talking let's focus on breakfast" gu min spoke up while passing tea to su jin

laughing she shook her head at her mother" no thanks mom I already have a dress for it"
"what dress? you just got back all your clothes are are all old and last season we need to change your closet give it a makeover I've seen some trending clothes for girls your age and they are suitable for you "gu min interjected
"yes darling your mother is right why don't you buy a set of new clothes " her father also voiced out

"arrange more people to guard her at the party tomorrow " he ordered

"I just wanted to check if its...."seeing the death stare yeong su threw at him he raised his hands in surrender "okay okay fine I'll go back and work " and he left
