I noticed something on the top of the study desk. I was still unable to move a limb, there was a sort of notebook, and it flipped a page without anyone touching it. What was written on that certain page startled me. I saw the name “Noir” scribbled at the bottom corner of the first page.

I struggled to move, and the moment I was able, I turned another page of the notebook and then saw a line of a song written down. I turned several more pages and I landed on some random page. I saw several names, such as Sir Leonard, Venetia, Prince Andrew, Sir Levi, Sir Salvacuta, Sir Pharex, Lady Myrae, Princess Antoinette, Princess Divine, Sir Norman, King George, and Queen Leticia. I only had a chance to get a glimpse of those names, but I was not able to find out who they were.

I continued scanning the pages of the notebook; I saw another line which read.

“To my beloved, I am glad to be in your service as long as you need me. I vow that no one will harm you. Passing away may mean leaving you behind, which I do not aspire to. If there comes a time that I will need to be from afar for your safety, I will wholeheartedly comply. My love for you is never-ending. I will always choose your happiness above mine. If being with someone else makes you feel happy, I will step back and be happy that you found your true love” - Sir Salvacuta

“Wow, T- that was something!” I just blurted out. Just reading that line makes me feel cringy.

There was another line that says,

“My love, I know I am not what your heart truly desires. Your heart has always been with someone else. I still offer you my love and support. All I want is your happiness. Be not burdened by this arrangement set forth for us. You know how much I love freedom more than you do. My kingdom will always support yours no matter what. -Prince Leonard

“[clicks tongue] wow!” I reacted.

There was another one, saying,

“My Dearest, please know that I will always look after you. We may not be related by blood, but a brother, I will always be. The love and care our parents showed me made me a family. I vow thee my support and protection. I perceive there was already someone your heart yearns for. Consider him gone because your love will never be requited. Your happiness is what I am always praying for.” - Sir Levi

I was not sure to whom these lines were intended for. I tried to read more and more, hoping I could get some information, until I found a bookmarked page.

I saw one unfinished line saying,

“By the mere thought of you being happy with someone else left me dying inside, the fact that you can never love me back was not easy to accept. How can I be with you if fate will not allow us to? I just hope I made you feel my love because this is cruel, being together is next to impossible.” –

“That was it? No one owns this line?” I uttered with disappointment.

To my frustration, I closed the notebook and saw the cover. It hits me. Now I recall, that was the novel I always wanted to finish.

That was it! The problem was, I forgot how the story ends.

I grabbed the notebook and checked the last inscribed page. Upon seeing that it needed a continuation, I took the pen and attempted to write something, but I could not compose anything because I did not know what was supposed to be the ending. I went back to the page where the bookmark was, maybe it could give me a hint or something.

I did not know what had happened. I kept turning the pages of the notebook, I saw a page with lines different from the previous one that I saw, and it read,

“I cannot make you love me. If you do not feel it in your heart, I cannot force you to feel something you resent. -

“For the last time, I lay down my heart. Take it, it is all yours. I could not see myself loving anyone else. Please know that I do not expect anything from you.” -

There was the problem: who said those lines and to whom they were for?

It was a dead-end, a disappointment, all I could do was to fizzle. The only things there were, were the lines that were owned by no one and the bookmark with my name “Noir” written on it. All I knew was that the notebook was mine. As the bookmark also suggested, It upsets me that I could not tack together the pieces of the puzzle that were laid down before me.

I knew that I only had limited time, but still, I had not found any helpful details. I do not even have anything that may connect this lady in the garden to what was happening to me at that moment.

Again, I went through the notebook, I checked on the introduction page and my eyes caught the name list of the characters' names.

At that instant, I heard the school bus honk. I could also hear a familiar voice holler. I was not able to ascertain where it was coming from and who it was, but I was sure that it was not the lady in the garden. It was telling me that it was time to go to school. The school bus honked for the third time, then I found myself hurriedly heading out of the room and coming out of the house in my white shirt.

While running towards the bus, I felt a raindrop, and the rain poured next. The next thing was seeing the surroundings darken, and in the blink of an eye, I found myself alone in the resort garden.

It was raining. I found myself drenched in the rain. I looked around for the lady while trying to notify my friends that I was heading to my hotel room. After placing my phone back in my pocket, I looked around again trying to find her. She was nowhere.

There was someone approaching me, but it was the security staff, pointing a flashlight at me and telling me to head to somewhere with a roof because it was raining.

I also tried to check if the security staff was a lady or a guy. I also tried to check the name tag. I was just thinking, you know, maybe that security person was the woman I was talking to. I was just exploring all the possibilities and you can not blame me,

“[sighed deeply] Nah! It’s not her.” I uttered to my disappointment.
