Episode 1
He could feel his blood gushing out of his veins the moment he heard a car parked right beside him. The doors slammed loudly after some men got down from the car.
Mr. Brian walked as fast as he could on the isolated streets that led to the train station the moment he realized they were following him with their footsteps increasing and catching up with him.
He became scared, terrified, and frightened at that moment, with many thoughts running through his mind. Moments later, he was snatched off the streets, blindfolded, and taken to a mafia boss at an unknown location.
"I'm guessing you already know why you are here, subconsciously you have been avoiding my calls," Said Franco.
When his blindfold was removed, he found himself at the mercy of the Mafia boss. A man with a cruel smile and eyes that held no mercy in a dimly lit room reeked of stale cigarette smoke.
Franco Morris, the notorious mafia boss, sat at a red-worn-out wooden desk. With his wide-eyes, he stood out for his ruthless nature. Under the cover of his thugs always waiting for the right time to strike.
Mr. Brian's eyes widened in terror as Franco approached him, a show of enraged pleasure in his gaze. He reassured him with a weird smile that didn't feel right as he sloped further and further toward him.
He seized him by the collar and dragged him to the wall with peeled wallpaper and dimmed light bulbs. His blows were calculated and merciless. He loomed over him like a vulture ready to feast on its prey, and landed brutal punches on his face, breaking bones and shattering teeth.
The room echoed with the loud cries of a man trapped in the clutches of his desperation. He laid down on the floor with his blood spilled all over the place, it was difficult to hide the astonishing pain circulating through his body.
"Where is my money?" Where is my f*****g money? Franco asked in ferocity.
No excuses today. I will make an example out of you. You thought you could cheat me and walk away?
"You thought wrong," Franco whispered to his ears. His cheeks flushed slightly, frowning uncontrollably, he went to his seat.
Mr. Brian was bloodied, bruised, and barely conscious. He begged for mercy but he looked back down, averting his attention elsewhere. Franco's heart was as cold as the metal he clutched in his hand.
Mr. Brian had once been a promising entrepreneur, but a series of ill-fated decisions and the loss of his wife led him down a path of desperation. He became trapped in a world of debts due to his bad gambling habit. Months ago, he made a grave mistake when he incurred a huge sum of money from the notorious mafia boss and gambled it away.
At first, he believed he could handle the debt and make good on his promise to repay it. However, fate had other plans. Having a bad gambling habit, he could barely save up to pay back the debt.
As time passed, the interest on Brian's debt began to accumulate at an alarming rate. His meager income from his business was barely enough to cover his daily expenses, let alone save up to repay the mafia boss.
Each day, he could feel the invisible jaws of Franco's influence closing in on him, suffocating him with fear and frightening him. At last, his fears were finally happening with a range of emotions. He knew this would be my last day on earth.
Franco wasn't game for stories today, he meant business as always. He never jokes about his money for any reason at all. He was barely given a second to speak, he had this day fully prepared for him. Franco has never spelled anyone who crosses his part, not even an elderly man like him.
In the face of unimaginable torments", Mr. Brian passed out. They poured buckets of water on him, trying to revive him, but to no avail.
After some minutes, they realized he had died before they could do anything. The way he was brutally dealt with, nobody would expect him to survive it.
"This wasn't the plan, his death wouldn't pay back my money, but then he deserves it". Boys disposed of his body immediately, he ordered.
It was obvious he felt no remorse at all, he clenched his knee hard and walked out of the building at a slow pace. His arrogant confidence was yet to be understood.
So many wished his days would come to an end, but nobody had the guts to challenge him. He is a Mafia boss after all.
They cleaned up the room, to avoid any tiniest problem that could fall back to them. The atmosphere was overwhelmed with their shoulders swinging at each other with nods of communication. They did everything in silence.
Mr. Brian's body was thrown into the bush, shameful and sad he was given no respect even at death. You can imagine the pain this would bring for his poor family, once they found out.
Mr. Brian's tragic demise would send shockwaves through the city, and rumors of Franco's evil doings. It would become a grim reminder of the consequences one would face if one dared to cross his paths.
It became obvious that violence ran in his family's lineage, he wasn't one to mess with and you could wonder what his family would be like.
Although Mr. Brian's story ended in darkness. He probably didn't deserve it but his memory would live on, In the shadows and whispers of death. It was'nt certain that Franco was satisfied even after killing the poor man.
