Doctor Parker looks at me then back at Harley.
“It’s not a big issue. She just has to take the meds and she will be okay.”
“I want to know the problem not whether it’s an issue or not!” He snaps and Dr. Parker looks at me with a blank expression.
“Can I tell you about it at home?”
“Why not here?”
“Because it’s a deep conversation and we need to do it at home.”
“You are being strange Caily.” He gives me a suspicious look and looks at the doctor. “Can I take her home?”
“Yes. The meds I have given her should help with everything. I have talked to her and told her the dos and don’ts. She should be okay.”
“Anything else?”
“Make sure she takes a lot of rest.”
“Duly noted. Mail me the charges.” He stands, helping me out of bed but the doc was right. I feel much better.
