I reach for Caily’s side but she is not in bed. I take my phone from the nightstand and look at the time. It’s 5 in the morning.
Where is she?
She might be safe but after the whole kidnapping issue, I’m careful when it comes to her. I haven’t dealt with Sage yet. I’m planning to do something nasty because there is no way I’m letting that go.
Back to Caily, it’s so early and she should be in bed. Maybe I’m just being paranoid.
“Caily?” I call sitting up.
“In here.” I hear a frail voice from the bathroom then something like someone throwing up.
“Baby.” I call scurrying out of bed and rush into the bathroom. She is sitting on the floor, her head in the toilet bowl, throwing up.
