Alpha Dreams

 Run... Who said that? Run... Go... Fear engulfed me. My heart hammered loudly in my chest. Should I run? Run Now .... Hurry… He’s coming. The ruthless ice-cold winter wind hits me hard in the face as I run through the dark forest. Molly! A spine-chilling voice fills my ears. Tears immediately start to flow from my eyes as a tree branch rips into the side of my cheek. The dim moonlight is the only thing I have to light my way, but I can’t let that factor slow me down. I have to get away. Oh, Mollyyy! Oh, Mollyy! Molly! You can run, but you can’t hide. I’m coming for you…. You'll never escape me; I will find you, wherever you are, I will be waiting. ...His sadistic voice sings to me. He sounds so close now. In a panic, I hide in a small cave next to the creek. My senses are in overdrive. Something is not right. I do not hear him anymore. Love H.M. ------------------ -- ------- --- --------- ---------- ---------- -------- ------- ---------------------- Molly's POV  I stayed still in that cave for what seemed like forever, just listening for anything to tell me that he was still out there. But I do not hear anything. “Don’t move!” I try not to jump at the voice that is echoing in my head. My mind keeps telling me I need to get away from here while I still have a chance. I take a deep breath in and decide to go against the voice I just heard. I'm going to try to make another run for it to get across the creek. The further away I get, the safer I will be. I don’t try to look to see if anyone is out there. Instead, I dart out of the opening of the cave as fast as I can. Gunner’s POV   A loud boom of thunder and lightning rings out in the pack territory. Sh*t I groan as I rub the side of my head. I roll over and see it is only 2:30 am. The past few nights, I keep dreaming of this girl Molly. Every time I dream of her, it always seems so real.  Tonight though, was the worst of them. It was practically a nightmare. I wanted so much to help her, but I couldn’t. It was like I was right there with her, but she could not see or hear me.  At one point, I thought she did hear me, but I guess she didn't because she did not listen to what I said. I was able to see everything that had happened and was happening until she left the cave.  However,  I never did get to see who it was that was after her. I try to shake my head to get the thoughts out of my mind. I do not know why I keep having dreams about her? I do not understand why it bothers me such much either since it was just a dream.  I keep telling myself to let it go, but for some reason tonight, I can not shake this feeling, and to make matters worse, I can feel my wolf wanting to be let out, but why? It is the middle of the night and storming like crazy. I try to fight the feeling, but it is not like I’m going to get any sleep anyway. I might as well try to clear my head of whatever crazy dream I had. I shift as soon as I open the door into my enormous jet black wolf.. My wolf doesn’t go to the typical path we run. Instead, he takes off toward the south full sprint. It is like he knows something I don’t.  I can feel my heart rate start to race as I hear slow running water. I can’t remember when the last time it was that I was over this way. I know that I’m getting near the edge of the pack territory. However, I can not stop now. I keep following the sound until I come to a creek. I can feel my wolf on high alert as this has to be the same creek I was dreaming about. But where is Molly?  My wolf starts to smell the air, the ground, everything, looking for any kind of smell. I cross over the creek out of pack territory, searching for the cave where Molly was hiding.  If we could only find the cave, maybe it will still have her scent, and I could track it. When I finally find the cave opening, I see what looks like a small piece of fabric caught on a tree branch. I immediately stick my snout to it and breathe in deeply. I can smell two different smells, but the one that stands out the most is the smell of my mate.
