and I dont want to see you hurt Aunt Stacy : your mother is right, it is dangerous out there, with k********g and r****g issues in the city Me : I understand both of you want the best for me, but you Me: ok 15 mins later Aunt Stacy: food is ready, come and eat before it gets cold Me: the gbegiri smells good Aunt Stacy: glad you like it, Trixie and Naomi I know you have not tasted it before but try it and you will like it Naomi: okay mom, but I want to use utensils to eat it Trixie: also me Aunt Stacy: why Trixe: I dont like getting my hands dirty Aunt Stacy: ok if you say so Me: lets dig in aunt Stacy: where are you manners don't you know we have to pray first Me: oh yeah I forgot Aunt Stacy: Naomi lead us in prayer Naomi : father Lord thank you for giving us shelter, clothes and food, it is by your grace that we are still alive, lord, we are exalts your name o lord , as we are about eat lord, bless the food in the name of Jesus, many people do not have food but you have provided us with food, we thank you, God, in jesus mighty name we have pray Everyone: amen 21 mins later Trixie: this was a very nice meal mum Naomi: this is so sweet, I never knew you can make beans soup Aunt Stacy: there is so much Nigerian dish to explore, I am glad to make my local dish, it was actually you aunt that made me want to cook it , because you have never tasted it before Naomi: thank you aunt Temitope My mum: your welcome, I have always wanted you gals to actually enjoy a dish from our home country To make you feel that you feel Nigerian since you have been in Illinois all your life Aunt Stacy : Naomi and Katrina wash the plates while Trixie will clean the dinning table Me: ok ma 17 mins later My mum: all of you should get ready for tomorrow Naomi : we have plans tomorrow Aunt Stacy: what plans Naomi: we were invited by a club and we have already been paid so we cant back out at the last minute My mum: I understand, just don't think about work all the time Trixie: ok aunt Temitope, we just want to make you proud My mum: so it is just us three Naomi: you have nothing to worry about, we graduated from there and we turned out fine, eventually Aunt Stacy: yeah there is
