I was frantic after that call from Logan.
I called the police station in Creek falls city immediately.
"Helo, this is creek falls Police Station, how may I assist you?"
"Hi yeah I was just informed about a car accident involving my car...?"
"Sir.. Can you give me your vehicle registration number, full name and ID please..."
"I don't have anything on me, it was all in my car..."
"Okay can u at least given me the Plate number and your name and Surname please , I can run it against all recent accidents..."
"MAX985CRP..."
The line goes silent...
The minutes feel like hours, my heart is racing...
While waiting on Celia to bring her car around before I can finally rush over to the police station.
"Sir... I'm sorry to inform you but the car was in a head on collision with a mini van at around 8:45 am and was completely written of, unfortunately as you can imagine the driver of the car was declared dead on arrival at the scene... I'm sorry for your loss... "
I heard what she said but I'm not registering anything.
she was still talking but I was hearing nothing...
" Sir... Hello... Sir.. "
I cut the call
Celia parked out front and I rushed jumping in the car before leaving for the police station.
Its a 45 minute drive to the station but I feel like I am no where near the place.
I finally arrived and rushed inside, leaving the keys still in the car.
"I need to know where she is..."
"Sir who are you looking for...?"
"The lady who drove my car..."
The lady at the front looked up and than at her report.
"Your the man from earlier right.
" Yes now take me to her.. "
" Sir she isn't here her body was sent to the city morgue..."
I didn't listen further and ran out and jumped in the car again and drove to the morgue.
Luckily it's a 10 minute drive.
At the morgue I wasted no time, I once again rushed inside like a mad man.
" The woman from the car crash this morning... "
The mortician looks like she was waiting for me.
"This way..."
She said and I followed.
We entered the cool room where the dead bodies are kept.
"We have only one Unidentified Jane doe, estimate age around 18-19 years of age, blonde hair, fair skin, Meduim built... cause of death suffocation, she basically suffocated on her own blood due to multiple injuries which includes. .. sever spinal injury, broken neck, broken ribs, broken jaw and cracked scull... Frankly speaking... There was no way than anyone could have saved her... "
I stood in front of the fridge.
This woman spoke as if she had no feelings, but it was expected as she dealt with death on a daily basis...
" Are you sure you will be able to identify this woman... Its pretty bad..."
I had no choice.
I nod my head in agreement.
She pulled open the latch of the freezer and slowly slid out the body...
She looks at me than pull off the white sheet just enough to expose the woman's face.
I collapsed to the ground, mortified by the severity of the injuries on her face only...
"Sir... Can you confirm for mw the identity of this woman... Or not?"
Time stopped...
