“The doctor said we can leave Tomorrow.
But today you got to take complete rest.
You should really take care of yourself”
Patrick dropped the covers, as he settled down next to me.
“Move a little.
Let me squeeze in here”
He adds, when he notices me numb
And I shifted on the bed, dragging my body to the side.
Giving him space to fit in
“Aren't you supposed to be working now?”
I ask him,
knowing he should be on his Job.
Also knowing he shouldn't be here. Wasting his time on me.
I don't deserve his care, not even as a friend.
Patrick is special, but every so often you know it's not for you.
“Well, I called in saying emergency and told my boss that I'll not be showing up until late in the afternoon tomorrow.
