It’s almost dinner time meaning I’m at the pack house preparing dinner along side with Katie. If I didn’t have Katie with me I don’t know how I would survive.
“Hey I know you have the weekend off but please.. please.. please.. can you help a best friend out and work this weekend as a server?” Katie says while giving me her best puppy dog eyes.
I laugh at her knowing I’ll give in because I have nothing planned for the weekend.
“Okay sure..” I agreed. “ but you owe me one!”
“Yes! Thank you! We are under staffed. This weekend is supposed to be a big event. We are welcoming The Black Moon Pack” says Katie.
“What?? Why?? Aren’t they that heartless, ruthless pack? Why would they come here?” I say in a shocking tone.
Katie comes close to me and whispers “ yes that’s them. Don’t you remember our rouges attacks we’ve been having. Well I heard The Alpha reached out to them for protection.”
I looked at her blankly. “I knew about the rouge attacks. I would hear my Uncle Tom and aunt Stella talk about it. But I didn’t know it was that bad that they had to ask another pack for help. Especially the Black Moon Pack”
Katie just looks at me and shrugs.
“Blood Moon Pack? Stay away from them Catherine. No one from that pack is good.” Lyric says. “Okay. That’s no problem for me” I say back to her.
An hour later and dinner is served. Most pack members are already in the kitchen eating up the food. I see Jacob and wave. Jacob is one of the warriors in our pack.
“Hey Catherine. Thanks for dinner.” He winks at me and I giggle.
“Katie, Catherine, wanna go to a club tomorrow after the event?” Jacob asks while taking bites of his dinner.
Katie puts her finger on her chin like she’s thinking about it. I just roll my eyes “Katie, when have you ever said no to clubbing?”
She turns my way and smiles widely. She looks a little too excited.
“Your right! I love clubbing! Count us in! I wonder if I can finally find my mate there?”
Just like me and Jacob, Katie still hasn’t found her mate. Unlike her I have no interest in finding mine. As I said before I want to leave this town and move to New York. It saddens me to leave my two besties behind, maybe they can come visit me.
“Alright clubbing it is.” I roll my eyes again and laughing.
“Eww your going clubbing?”
All three of us looked at the door of the kitchen and see my cousin Stacey standing there playing with her hair.
“Yes, is there a problem with that?” Jacob asks, annoyed.
“Well, I was planning on going too with my group of friends. Just make sure we don’t bump into each other. I don’t want people seeing me with losers” Stacey says while glaring at us.
How Stacey and I are related is mystery to me. She’s such a b***h.
