Chapter twentyone

Stars P.O.V

  After nearly thirty minutes, everyone was still silently staring at me and it was starting to get really uncomfortable, until Emma cleared her throat and broke the silence.

  “How do you know about training?” Emma asked and I took a deep breath.

  “I have always been curious about the supernatural, so when I found books about werewolves, werebears and such, I began to read them. Then I found more books about rogues, pups, Alpha’s, mates, vampires and Luna’s, so I started to read them too. I think I actually knew what you all were a month ago when I first saw bears coming out of the woods, but I wanted to make sure so I didn't sound like a crazy person. When you called Nash to your office I took the chance to go up to my room and opened the windows. I only wanted to get some fresh air at first, but then I saw the bears and I just stood there watching. I was so happy that I was proven right, but then my mind started running crazy with thoughts that you wouldn't like the fact that I found out, so I was convinced that you were going to eat me. I’m sorry.” I said, explaining everything and their eyes went wider the more I talked.

  “So, you knew about mates, then why did you seem unsure when I said the word? Where did you get these books from?” Nash asked and I sighed.

  “I wanted to know if you would tell me the truth, but I also wanted to know if what I read was right. I found them in the school library when I was working, but I have them upstairs now, my boss said that I could keep them.” I replied, looking down at my hands.

  “Don't worry Star, Emma thought the same thing when I saved her. I found Emma in the woods one night and her ex husband had beaten her to the brink of death, but thankfully the pack doctor managed to save her. When she found out about us, she didn't react too well and thought that we had put something in her drink, making her see things, but she finally came to realise that we didn't and that she wasn't seeing things. It took some time for her to come to terms with it, but we settled down and years later I changed her. You see Emma was my mate, but I didn't tell her that, I let her fall in love with me on her own and well, here we are now.” Leo said, looking at Emma who was smiling.

  “So you're not mad at me for keeping this from you?” I asked and Nash shook his head.

  “I thought you were going to be mad at me for not telling you, you're not are you?” Nash asked and I shook my head, making him smile and breathe a sigh of relief.

  “It sounds like a love story, I’m glad you found her. I can really tell that you two are in love and I hope that Nash and I have that someday, but I want to train and learn the ways of your life. I want to actually see the whole shift and meet vampires and the werecats, but I sure as hell don't want to meet rogues or rogue vampires, but I’ve read there are peaceful vampires as well.” I said and they all looked at me in shock.

  “Sorry, I babble when I’m nervous or excited.” I said and they just started to laugh.

  “Well, you have read a lot of books. We can start your training tomorrow morning and you can go to work after. Mom will take you to the Luna meetings and will train you as well. It's not all just about taking care of the kids and women, from time to time it can get brutal, like if another woman wants to challenge mom for her crown of Luna then she will have to fight, but mom is a badass fighter and many have tried to overthrow her, but they all end up dying.” Nash said and I was glad to hear this. I didn't want to be treated as a precious package, I wanted to fight beside them. I started to yawn from all the excitement of today and I was really tired, finding this much stuff out is exhausting.

  “Can we start tomorrow? It's the weekend and I can train all weekend.” I asked and Emma chuckled.

  “Yes sweetie, you can start tomorrow, but you need to be ready because we don't train easily. It's going to be hard core training and you will be doing laps, squats, fighting, leg lifts, push ups, sit ups and much more, but don't worry seeing as it's going to be your first day tomorrow we will let you watch it all first and then you can decide if you want to join in and maybe spar with someone.” Emma replied and I nodded.

  “Go on up to bed, we know how tired you are and you need to rest before tomorrow. You've had quite enough excitement for one day, young lady.” Leo said and I nodded. He was right. I said goodnight to them and left with Nash coming with me, probably to make sure I really was okay.

~~Leo’s P.O.V~~

  Nash turned to face us and you could tell that the smile he had on his face wasn't going to disappear any time soon.

  "I'm going to head up and check on Star. This was a lot for her to take in and even though she may have looked okay and talked like she was okay here, I still want to make sure. I want to be there for her just in case she suddenly changes her mind or freaks out." Nash said and I nodded. Nash said goodnight to both of us and then left to follow after Star, leaving me and Emma alone in my office.

  “Well, that went better than expected. I’m glad you decided to set that up because if we didn't decide then I don't think Nash would ever have told her.” Emma said, looking at me and I nodded.

  “We needed to find out how she was going to react and if she could take this life, you never know she might have freaked out and ran for the hills. It's a good thing that she read a lot, but just in case we need to call Colo and let him know that Star is now fully aware. He will have to remove the rest of the books before another human sees them. We don't need any more problems.” I replied and Emma nodded.

  “You also need to thank Colo for keeping them hidden and only making sure that Star found them. It was a big help and a huge ask, especially if another human had found them before Star did.” Emma said, making me smirk at her.

  “I will, but until then how about you come over here and sit in front of me.” I said, looking at her lustfully. Emma smirked and walked over, sitting herself down on my desk, right in front of me.

  “Oh, are you hungry?” Emma asked, seductively.

  “Only for you baby, only for you.” I replied and slid my hands up her legs, taking her panties off. I sat back on my chair and then went to town on her.

~~Carter’s (Star’s dad) P.O.V~~

  It has been a while since I have been locked up in this stupid cage, but my wolf was keeping me strong. My wolf Colt explained everything to me and although it still didn't feel real I was coming around to the idea of being a powerful werewolf. When Ivy left us we would shift a few times and Colt would make me shadowbox, do leg lifts and squats. He kept saying that it was making us stronger and I could feel it working, but thankfully Ivy never asked me to shift for her. Colt and I both knew that Ivy wanted to keep me weak and Colt kept telling me that her wolf was always trying to talk to him, but he kept blocking her out.

  “When Ivy comes tomorrow I’ll take the block down and see if I can talk to her wolf to find out what she wants. I’m sure she will just want information, but I’ll soon find out. You need to remember that as soon as she opens these doors you need to be fast and overpower her, making her submit to you and that will make us the leader. We will be the Alpha and she will be our Luna or just another pack member, but that will be her decision.” Colt said, mind-linking me and telling me the plan again.

  “Alright, let's just hope that she does it soon.” I replied, mind-linking him back. I was slowly getting used to hearing another voice in my head and Colt had explained how the mind-link worked, but he also said that I would be able to talk to others as well and I just hoped that it didn't turn me crazy.
