I had grabbed a couple of blankets while I waited outside for my brother and my mate to come back. Both Venus and I had wanted to go with them but it was still broad daylight and, even more so than Morgan's wolf, I wasn't exactly inconspicuous. If Alpha George was right, if someone was out there watching, my innocent little run would put so many people in danger. So I sat this one out, and someone really did need to stay with Tipper. Maybe once my brother managed to get the hang of running as a wolf without looking like a staggering giraffe, they could go together. I knew a few wolves that went running with their canine companions.
And it wasn't a total loss staying behind.
