Rhonda's Lesson

The Beginning: Part 3

An hour later, he had finished his dirty deed. The girls watched him stand and head out the room with our covers and clothing. Minutes later he returned with a rag and a bowl of soapy water. Rhonda watched on as he cleaned Sky up and left the room. The smell of Clorox wafted into the room and the sound of the washing machine could be heard. They could only assume he was getting rid of his would-be evidence. Sadly, the first thing that came to Rhonda's mind was that her favorite blanket from her grandmother who recently passed was about to be ruined.

After the silent tears subsided they sat in total disbelief. They just couldn’t grasp what happened just moments earlier. “I think he drugged us, babe,” Sky whispered.

“I know, sweets. I’m so, so, so sorry.” Roe whispered back.

As soon as Roe could stand, she helped Sky up and into the bathroom. She ran them a bath so hot she could barely stand it and stepped in; motioning for Sky. She climb in, wincing from the heat and sat between her besties legs. Rhonda grabbed a loofa, covered it in body wash and gently scrubbed Sky's skin. As she sobbed, her tears broke something in Roe. She held her friend, and before she knew it they both drifted off holding hands, never to speak of it again till the night guilt got the best of her. The night Roe tried to end it all she had been browsing through her phone and noticed a new video. It was dark but she heard moaning and grunting.

Halfway into the video her heart sank as she heard the only words the loner ever spoke to them that night.

“Next time pay attention baby girl.” It was too real for her. Too real for anyone. she had already been molested at 15 by her mother’s deadbeat of and ex. Rhonda thought she was over it but it was hard to deal with the fact that she couldn’t protect her best friend. The fact that she couldn’t help her best friend from feeling the same pain she felt just 3 years earlier, and it killed her.
