His Scarlet

Chapter Eight : Face Off

Scarlet decided to get her morning coffee at the cafe near the bar. As she enjoys her black coffee, two persons caught the attention of the cafe occupants. The two have been in a heated argument.

As Scarlet stare at the two profiles, numbness enveloped her solid iced heart. "So, the two traitors are still together after all these years."

Scarlet waited for Matthew to leave before coming forward toward her ex best friend. She knows she don't care anymore about what's really going on between them, but she wants to made them feel the guilt and hurt they have caused her.

When Mia turned around and stared straight into her eyes. Scarlet can't believe what she saw in those ocean blue eyes.

Filled the tears trembling down Mia's face Scarlet hear those words she longed to hear.

"Scar, I'm sorry. I know apologizing cannot take away the pain that we've caused you. I don't know where and how to begin on explaning and how did it happened but you have to believe me. Matthew and I didn't want it to happen. We loved you___"Mia shakily and sincerely apologize but stopped midway when Scarlet interjected.

"The damage have been done. Tears have been shed. Trust have been destroyed. I' ve been well in the past eight years and I don't care what really happened between you two. I don't wanna hear any of your explanation. It is long due. Just don't walk into my life again. Both of you are good as dead to me." Scarlet stated bluntly.

Mia shakingly sobbing and collapse on her knees as Scarlet walk past through her.

Simon witnessed the whole scene and her admiration for Scar grows stronger.

"She is really something." Simon said to himself with Gregg also standing right behind him.

As Scarlet reached for her room, all those unshed tears came down rolling down her face uncontrollably. She had been preparing for that moment for eight years. Although she managed to unyieldingly face her fear, she still wasn't ready to face all her nightmares. And now, the two of them are on this island together with her on the same hotel.

She must now concentrate in the baby project more. Enough of all the hurt and deception. Scarlet decided now to claim her happiness. Her baby!
